Today marks the official start of the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season. 🌀 This hurricane season – June 1 to November 30 – meteorologists and scientists from NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, National Weather Service, National Hurricane Center, and research institutions nationwide have predicted above-average 📈 activity, with a higher-than-normal 🚨 number of named storms, hurricanes, and major hurricanes. With storm threats ⚠️ ahead, it’s critical to ensure your household and businesses are prepared. It's also typhoon season out here in the Pacific. I currently have the privilege to live in Okinawa, Japan. It's fascinating to see their response to typhoons and the mitigation measures they have like most buildings being made of concrete.
