The opportunity As a Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of your centre. You’ll motivate your team to create a great working environment to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. A typical day at IWG You start the day with a quick review of the daily report, to plan the day and make sure everyone’s prepared. With one eye always on reception, you see members turning up and the first meeting rooms guests arriving. You welcome them and take them to their meeting room, show them the facilities and help them set up their Wi-Fi connections and screen sharing app for their presentation. Later you have a meeting to learn more about a new member and get to understand his business needs. You think about the other businesses in the centre and how you might be able to introduce him to a couple that may be of interest at the networking event later in the week. It’s time for a quick coffee break, relax and enjoy a few minutes to yourself. A large company is taking a whole floor of the centre and is moving in next week. You run through the move in detail with your Community Associate, ensuring the welcome kit is prepared, and all badges and keys are ready for handing over. Shortly before your lunch break, a couple walk in enquiring about coworking membership. Your colleague from sales is on their lunch break so you offer them a coffee and give them a tour of the centre, explaining all the benefits of IWG membership. You are then off to lunch. Later in the afternoon you review billing to ensure all customers are current and walk the space to ensure everything is show ready for a tour in the morning. You notice a few light bulbs out in the café and put a ticket in the service portal for replacement. You take a few pictures of your show offices and post sales ads for your vacant office. You’ve earned yourself another quick coffee break, relax and enjoy a few minutes to yourself. Before heading out you review paid time off requests for next month to ensure you have appropriate coverage and prepare for a 1:1 coac

Communications and marketing professional, with interests in accessibility, disability, rehabilitation, animals and sport.
Any dog friendly employers in Glasgow and the West of Scotland? I’ve heard rumours that there are some out there! Daisy dog is seeking a new office. Pros of having Daisy in the office: Plenty of pats. Improved wellbeing. Reduced stress. An office bestie. Motivation to go out a walk at lunch time. On hand to pose and make your organisation’s social media content that little bit cuter. Downside – you will need to lock your lunch away – Daisy is part Labrador. Daisy comes with a hard working comms and marketing professional, so it’s a two for one deal. On a more serious note I am seeking employment. I’m open to considering different roles within marketing and communications, but I would love to keep working in a role where I’m making a difference. Please give me a shout if you are aware of anything, either UK wide that is home based, or located in or around Glasgow (even if dogs aren’t allowed in the office! She also enjoys her days working from home with my husband.) Also if anyone has any recommendations for recruitment agencies they’d be most welcomed. Even if you have no suggestions, I’d love to hear about your office dogs or see photos! Important note: Daisy is a pet, who enjoys joining me at the office but is not entitled to be there. For info, should you be working with an assistance dog owner, assistance dogs should always be welcomed and accommodated within the workplace. [Description: Yellow Golden Retriever cross Labrador stands in an office with her chin resting on my knee. I am seated at a desk.] #OpenToWork #MarketingJobs #Glasgow #Scotland #DogFriendlyEmployer #DogFriendlyOffice #CommunicationsJobs #Ayrshire #DogsOfLinkedIn #OfficeDog

Are you considering moving to the ever-popular seaside city of Brighton and Hove? I may be biased working for a Brighton-based estate agency but having lived in Hove for over 4 years and spending plenty of time throughout my life enjoying the vibrancy and feel-good factor about this amazing city, I can truly say it is a place that I call home. Here are some of the reasons why I think you should consider Brighton and Hove if you are thinking of moving: 1. The inclusiveness as a central hub for LGBTQIA+ community and it's welcoming nature, popular all across the UK. 2. Beach, Sea and Pier - As we approach the summer months, Brighton is the go-to hotspot for a dip in the sea, paddle boarding and recreational watersports with the family-friendly Brighton Pier an iconic place to visit for your arcade desires! 3. Plethora of events, restaurants, bars and more all across Brighton and Hove with many rising independant businesses too so you will never not have a place to try out. 4. Fantastic transport links to Gatwick and London and beyond from both Hove and Brighton and buses are very frequent as well making it ideal for those who work on a hybrid WFH policy or the occasional commute to the work office. 5. With a short commute into Hove, directly neighbouring Brighton, is in itself a standout city with its charming cafes and bars and Hove Lawns, looking out over the beatiful sea, allowing for a relaxing wind-down after a hard days work in the hustle and bustle of Brighton and Hove. I could make plenty more points on this, but I think you get the idea, Brighton and Hove is the place to be if you are on the fence about moving to this area and will cater to your personality and tastes. If you are considering moving to Brighton or Hove and looking for your first purchase or an investment opportunity and keen to know more about the properties we have available, please don't hesistate to drop me a DM or email me on leo.cheng@brandvaughan.co.uk for more info.
