According to eye-opening statistics from Workable, Time to Fill (the amount of time it takes to get a suitable employee) reduced by about 1.8 points in May. According to recent U.S. Labor Department statistics, there were around 8.1 million vacant jobs across the country in May this year. But a number of these could be entirely fake—although this is difficult to measure with any certainty—as companies admit to posting fake job listings in an effort to bolster the firm's reputation, keep current employees in line, and preemptively gather information about applicants for real jobs that may be available in the future. Over the last few years job seekers have gained and lost the upper hand when it comes to the world of work. With the shift of the job market, candidates searching for jobs over the last five years have experienced several changes when it comes to work, salaries, benefits, and more. Each year, Nexxt conducts a survey of job seekers to understand how job seekers searched for jobs the previous year and how job seekers plan to search in the coming year.
