Mexico represents an underappreciated investment opportunity that offers compelling risk-adjusted returns for private market investors. Our Managing Partner, Harry Krensky, made this argument at last year’s Amafore conference, where he highlighted the following positive investment attributes for the country: 1. 📈 A consistent record of prudent monetary and fiscal policy upheld by successive Mexican governments over the past decade 2. 🌍 The advent of Nearshoring, which could potentially boost Mexico GDP growth by as much as 1.5% to 2.5% per year 3. 💸 Rising remittances from the US, driven by increased wages and demand for migrant labor; and 4. 🚀 As Mexico's potential becomes more widely recognized, increasing levels of foreign direct investment, resulting in a virtuous circle of accelerating capital formation and rising asset values Don’t miss Harry’s keynote presentation at this year’s Amafore Conference, which is taking place on October 23 / 24 here in Mexico City. 🟢 UPDATE! Delve into our newest publication: “Mexico’s Private Sector and Innovation for a Sustainable Future”! How can #Mexico bolster its economy and strengthen its competitive advantages in an increasingly competitive global market through pro-human innovation? 🇲🇽 💡 In this publication, Richard P. Wells Viesca, Alvaro de Garay, and Miguel Angel VALENZUELA explore how Mexico can seize the opportunities that nearshoring presents and build an inclusive and sustainable economy. To achieve this, they argue that Mexico must address its problems of low productivity, labor informality, extreme inequality, regional disparities, and environmental degradation. This will mean overhauling the status quo in Mexico’s private sector, which invests little in innovation and is increasingly dependent upon global value chains. https://lnkd.in/euS-45Ad #Mexico #Invest #Nearshoring #Labor #Productivity #Inequality #PrivateSector #Innovation #SupplyChain #Globalization #Economics

What do Italian companies think of the current China business climate? After three challenging years marked by the pandemic, particularly in 2022 with a stringent lockdown testing the resilience of the Italian entrepreneurial community, 2023 has dawned as the eagerly anticipated year of returning to the future. In 2023, the financial balance of Italian companies shows improvement compared to 2022, yet falls short of meeting the growth and recovery expectations set earlier. Despite this, the deep-rooted awareness among Italian companies of the enormous potential that the Chinese market continues to emerge: 54% of companies still believe China is THE market to be, while only 20% expects a decrease in growth expectation. Special thanks to China-Italy Chamber of Commerce CICC for inviting our CEOs Lapo Tanzj and Andrea Fenn to the event for the unveiling of 5th edition of the CICC Report, focusing on the state of health of Italian companies in China. #China #Italy #BusinessOpportunities #CICCReport #AdiacentChina
