❔When you capture CO2, where does it go - and who is responsible for it? 🛢Millions are pouring into Louisiana's Gulf Coast for carbon removal activities, but stakeholders don't exactly know where that captured CO2 will go - according to prospective storage operators, environmental justice communities, and academics I spoke to in June. ⚖ In the past few months, the states of South Dakota, Illinois, Alaska, and the Canadian province of Manitoba signed bills into law that regulate capture, transport, and storage of CO2 - many of which release the state of liability from damages 👇How are you thinking about CO2 storage with the emergence of carbon removals? (Stories below for Carbon Pulse)

Please read and share. The SIA is working hard to raise awareness of the benefits of modern stoves and how to use them well. Rather than telling people what they shouldn't do and creating shame around our heating choices, the SIA's #PositiveWoodBurning campaign aims to help people understand how they can do things better. Positive choices and changes to how and what we burn at home are the solution to significantly reducing emissions from domestic combustion, while at the same time helping to boost energy grid resilience and reduce fossil fuel use. It is easy to get involved: https://lnkd.in/egmBekJ6 #PositiveWoodBurning
Today the SIA launches its #PositiveWoodBurning campaign. 🔥This awareness campaign has been designed to improve our understanding of the many positive benefits of modern wood burning stoves and learn how we can help reduce domestic combustion emissions through wood burning best practice. 🔥Through a series of graphics linked to further information and references on the SIA website, the #PositiveWoodBurning campaign will highlight some important and lesser known facts about modern stoves, wood fuel, energy resilience and improving air quality. 🗣️We encourage you to get involved - join the conversation using the hashtag #PositiveWoodBurning and download the campaign assets here: https://lnkd.in/eDwchvvB Together we can be part of the solution to improving air quality linked to domestic burning. #PositiveWoodBurning #WoodBurning #Stoves #Sustainability #RenewableFuel #LowCarbon #ReduceEmissions

I have this dream to get to jog in a public park built around a lake. There are many of such parks, but quality of water spoils the scene. So, we decided to offer a solution and scheme of science intervention where we can clean lake water and make it visibly beautiful. Soon I am hoping to realise my dream. I believe public knowledge is an important aspect to help better our surroundings. I try to share some basic understanding to the subject through my YouTube channel. Clear skies stoves lower energy bills That's right, wood logs cost considerably less than electric heating per kWh and using "zonal heating" the central heating thermostat in the living room can be turned down when the stove is lit, further reducing bills.
