Visibility and voice are fundamental to empowerment. It's not just about acceptance – validation, empathy, and understanding are all crucial elements of workplace belonging. These words by Andee Chua 🏳️🌈, Culture & DI&B Program Manager at HubSpot, remind us how important it is to create spaces where every voice counts. "Exclusion isn't just hurtful; it's mentally exhausting. I know the struggle of hiding my authentic self at work, feeling like I don't belong. Inclusion isn't just about policies; it's about empathy. Inclusion isn't just a buzzword; it's a lifeline. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard and valued." - Andee Chua, Culture & DI&B Program Manager at HubSpot 📅 Visit us on 22nd June 📍 Location: WeWork, 21 Collyer Quay Register for Inclusive Careers Fair 2024 to explore exciting career opportunities with top employers and learn more about workplace inclusion: https://lnkd.in/gcQ98DSc #InclusiveCareersFair2024 #WeWork #DiversityAndInclusion #Community #Collaboration #CareerOpportunities #EveryoneMatters

Early Careers Conference with IHR - In-house Recruitment yesterday! I'm working on some really exciting #earlycareers and #socialmobility projects at the moment, so it was fascinating to hear what other businesses are doing in this space. A few key takeaways from Booking.com and others: > Gen Z often question and despise anything too corporate and feeling like they are being sold to, in general they prefer transparency and authenticity. > Value alignment with their prospective employer / team is really important > Gen Z value a sense of belonging and connection > Giving your existing early career talent the opportunity to produce social media content can often perform better than jumping on TikTok trends > In-Person events and experiences during the recruitment process are still really valuable

In today’s workplace, Gen Z, Millennials, and Gen X can thrive together by leveraging each generation’s unique strengths to create a dynamic and collaborative environment. Gen Z brings tech-savviness and fresh perspectives, Millennials offer creativity and a focus on collaboration, while Gen X contributes valuable experience and strategic thinking. For example, imagine a project where Gen Z introduces innovative tools, Millennials lead the creative brainstorming, and Gen X ensures the strategy aligns with long-term goals. Open communication, mutual learning, and flexibility in work styles are key to fostering synergy. How can these generations collaborate better? By embracing their differences, breaking down stereotypes, and building a purpose-driven culture where everyone contributes their strengths to drive success. 🍀 Don't count on luck in your professional life. It's National Careers Week, and the perfect time to celebrate the incredible journey each one of us is on! ✨ 🙌 Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, Careers Week is an opportunity to reflect on your achievements, set new goals, and connect with others who share your passion. 🙋♀️ Personally, I fell into my initial role in recruitment through my previous role pouring pints at a pub! A story I'm sure many recruiter resonate with by falling into the industry either by connections or by way of chance. Connections there led me into the wonderful world of recruitment and here I am almost 7 years in and loving the opportunity I have in helping others find their dream role. 💭 Reflecting on my career journey, it's clear how networking is fundamental for personal and professional growth. Crafting a strong network is a game-changer across many industries, yet it's a skill often downplayed. In our digital era, the value of connecting can slip through the cracks. So, amidst our virtual adventures, let's not underestimate the magic of real-world connections at conferences and networking events. 🌟 A golden rule I've lived by throughout my career journey: don't forget to infuse kindness into every task – it genuinely makes a difference. 🚀 Share your story of starting out in your industry, offer advice to those starting their journey, your proudest career moments, or connect with someone whose story resonates with you. 👥 Networking, learning, and celebrating – let's make the most of Careers Week! 🎉✨ #CareersWeek #CareerJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #CommunitySupport #CareerSuccess #NetworkingMagic #Recruitment #Recruiting
