in a recent conversation with a decorated tech leader, i was prepared to give him the best pitch he'd heard i introduced myself as the youngest guy on my team. i take pride in it, regardless of how it may be interpreted. but he proceeded to explain to me how age is insignificant to him. he'd much rather hear about the value i've brought into my organisation. been thinking about how to define value- is it the change you bring? or is it the difference your team might feel when you may move on? came to realise it's about showing up each and every day and giving it your absolute 100. that's the value you can bring to any organisation regardless of your skill-set, seniority or compensation. what value do you bring to your organisation?
