Under the chairmanship of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the Union Cabinet approved a 6-lane access-controlled Tharad-Deesa-Mehsana-Ahmedabad National High-Speed Corridor 🛣, spanning 214 km and costing ₹10,534 crore. The corridor enhances connectivity to Tharad, Deesa, Palanpur, Mehsana, improving regional access. Supporting nine economic nodes, including Pharma, Electronics clusters and SEZs, it fosters industrial and economic development in Gujarat. The Greenfield alignment reduces freight travel time from 5-6 hours to 3-3.5 hours, cutting logistics costs.
