The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has dismissed 55 faculty members and 60 non-teaching staff across its #Mumbai, #Hyderabad, #Guwahati, and #Tuljapur campuses without notice, citing funding issues with the Tata Education Trust. This includes half of the teaching staff and all non-teaching staff at its Guwahati campus. Dismissals affected long-term staff and left many projects in limbo. #TISS claims multiple attempts to secure funding failed, while faculty members suspect a link to new UGC regulations. Tata trust agreed to fund the projects I suppose and the issue has been resolved as per the latest news
Indian National Congress #RaGa Help and handhold Tata Trusts from doing this injustice to innocent #people of Tata Institute of Social Sciences in their 4 campuses. If they can pay to the most ever corrupt government through #ElectoralBonds under their political pressure...Tata Trusts must fund the lives of its Tata Institute of Social Sciences families in 4 campuses.
Sad…All faculties are exceptionly talented. Sad to lose such heroes. I fully stand for them and their families. May god bless. 🙏
Definitely some miss communication from the TISS higher authorities to Tata funding agency. It's impossible as I know the legacy and work culture of the Tata group being in Jamshedpur and having three generations working for Tata'. Good that matter has been resolved
They reversed their decision. Please post that as well.
They are investing lots of fund in AI and can't afford to run an educational institute.
