David Previte, President of AIW has restructured the national committee to have three distinct subcommittees for communications, membership, and technical objectives. Each subcommittee now has specific responsibilities and is led by a well-respected member of our industry:
1. The Communications Subcommittee has been focused on significantly increasing the frequency and quality of communications to members and the industry with regular social media updates, email campaigns, update webinars, website content and newsletters. Led by Peter Beckmann, they will work to promote the activities of the AIW and its members, keep members informed of important developments, and engage with the broader industry.
2. The Membership Subcommittee will focus on retaining and attracting members, by assessing and improving the value proposition of membership and building a strong community of members. Led by Byron Landeryou, they will work to enhance the recognition and prestige of membership, foster a sense of community among members and oversee the conduct of members to ensure our code of ethics is upheld.
3. The Technical Subcommittee will focus on promoting best practices and technical expertise, providing ongoing education and training opportunities and advancing industry regulations. Led by Karl Wootton they will work to develop technical guidelines and standards, offer technical training and accreditation programs, and engage with government bodies, academic institutions and research organisations to advocate for our sector.
