Recruitment Specialist | I help Radiography professionals secure excellent career opportunities across the UK, both locum and permanent.
🔴 There is no doubt that recruitment, especially within the Radiography sector, is much tougher this year than previously. There aren’t as many locum roles on offer and lots of changes within the market has meant opportunities aren’t as readily available. ❓ What’s your take on this – as a Radiographer, are you struggling to find locum work? #recruitment #radiography

https://lnkd.in/gD3HZFKt Every 10 years, the OMB reclassifies jobs. Currently, ARRT-certified technologists—with the exception of radiation therapists—are classified as technical personnel. We believe all R.T.s should be classified as professional health care personnel. The role of radiologic technologists in modern health care continues to evolve as the demand for improved imaging technology accelerates. For this reason, ARRT strongly supports updating the OMB’s designation to more accurately reflect the professional responsibilities of our occupation. Now, with your help, we can advocate for our classification to be changed to professional, but we need to act fast. The OMB is soliciting public comment through the end of the day Monday, Aug. 12. Submit a comment to the OMB on ASRT’s Advocacy Action Center—it only takes a minute! Every voice matters and YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A R.T. TO PARTICIPATE. #technologistNOTtechnician #xray #CT #MRI #mammography #sonography #nuclearmedicine #bonedensity #radiationsafety #radiology #imagingservices #radiologist #technologist

Did you know? Due to the cumulative impact of #radiationexposure during their career, #HCPs are 6 times more likely to develop cataracts. Our technology platforms at #MBOT aim to reduce this number by developing remote-operated #surgicaltechnology. https://bit.ly/3yshf3N

🛎️ 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗗𝘀! There are increasing numbers of Radiographers with Doctoral Degrees (either PhDs, Professional Doctorates, etc)- but no central database or network that would allow these Doctorates/PhDs to connect/understand each others research activities and interests. To encourage further connections, collaboration and sharing of information, the EFRS European Federation of Radiographer Societies would like to create a #network of #Radiographers with #Doctorate (from all branches of the profession: #medicalimaging, #radiotherapy, #nuclearmedicine). 🎯 If you are interested in joining this group and sharing your information with other Rad-Docs and being included in a central (shared) database, please complete the following and please circulate also to any colleagues (radiographers with PhDs) who may be interested. ➡️ Joining link: https://lnkd.in/dvR3k_xa #EFRS #radiographer #PhD #network #research
