It’s one of Europe's largest new infrastructure projects, set to plug a major gap in the continent’s high-speed rail network. The $8BN Rail Baltica project will connect the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The planned 870 km #railway will operate four high-speed trains covering the entire distance between Tallinn and Kaunas or Vilnius in just over three and a half hours. IDOM designed 389 km of the Baltic corridor and implemented a connected data environment allowing teams to collaborate via 3D models and detect clashes during design. Using digital technologies allowed multiple organizations to work seamlessly and access real-time data to minimize errors.
