💯 Our Events Team & Interns ✏️penned this for the kiddos in our gc: Congrats Events Team! I bet it was a tiring but productive activity. We hope you learned the importance of: - having a checklist & checking it twice - pre-event orientation - onsite orientation - knowing your team & individual roles - knowing the desired outcome of the event - knowing the bigger goal of the event - quality over quantity - engaging with your audience to get good shots (yes, sometimes shots may be staged) - good communication & people skills - teamwork - the courage to try something new - believing in yourself I'm sure I missed more items, but I hope you'll take all the growing pains and insights as valuable lessons. These are truly best learned and understood through real life experience. 🎢 #proudmomma

**The Life of a New Joinee: A Unique Journey** ✨ Starting a new job is a big transition. The first few weeks are often filled with excitement, nerves, and plenty to learn. Having gone through this myself, I know how overwhelming it can be. 🔹 **Adapting to a New Environment** 🌍 Each company has its own culture and processes. The challenge is figuring out how things work and finding your place within the team. 🔹 **Navigating Information Overload ** 🧠 New roles come with a flood of information—projects, software, and guidelines. Staying organized and taking it step by step is key. 🔹 **Building Relationships:** 🤝 Forming connections with colleagues is critical. Whether through team meetings or casual chats, these relationships lead to long-term success and comfort. 🔹 **Learning on the Go:** 🚀 Learning doesn’t stop after onboarding. It’s about asking questions, getting feedback, and adapting as you go. 🔹 **Balancing Excitement with Uncertainty:** ⚖️ There’s excitement, but also the pressure of living up to expectations. Balancing both is part of the journey. To all new joinees: it’s okay to feel unsure at first. Embrace the process, seek support, and remember that every expert started as a beginner! 💪 #NewBeginnings #CareerJourney #NewJoineeLife #GrowthMindset #FirstSteps

Brand Strategist & Project Manager – Omnicom Media Group With 6+ Years Of Experience In Strategy Development, Business Growth & Management - In FMCG And Gaming Industry | Gold Winner – Young Lions Competition (Digital)
On February 24th, 2024, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, knowledge sourcing, and clarity gaining. Initially, several doubts crossed my mind: 1. You can do it later in the year. 2. You will have no weekend to yourself. 3. You can’t turn up with your friends. 4. No extra weekend morning sleep. 5. Will I really get the clarity I seek? Despite these reservations, I decided to do it afraid anyway, and I am extremely glad I did. Attending Orange Academy's “Integrated Brand Experience” (IBX) class was one of the best decisions of my professional journey. Reconnecting and learning from industry leaders who have influenced my career since my internship days till today, such as Yomi Martyns, Lilian Williams, Oyindamola Fakile, Tola Bamigbaiye-Elatuyi PhD, FNIMN, and Kelechi Uduma, was an invaluable experience. Four months later, I am thrilled to reflect on the outcomes: 1. A Strong Network: I built a network of intelligent minds from various facets of life. 2. Brand Creation: I developed two brands—BuzzBite Honey, my personal honey brand, and Beefused Honey, a creative collaboration with the talented Dracarys team. Looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way. The knowledge gained, the connections forged, and the pride of being a member of IBX30 and an Orange mind are priceless. Cheers to new wins and the continued success I plan to unlock as the year unfolds!

One of the reasons I joined the talent initiative was to broaden my network and learn from different perspectives and experiences. 😊🌱 I think the program offers a great platform for connecting and collaborating with talented people from various countries and backgrounds. 🌍💡 I especially enjoyed the job shadowing program, where I had the chance to shadow a colleague from bid management in Hungary and gained a deeper understanding of sales processes and the interconnected roles. 👥🤝 Participating in job shadowing bridged the gap between different departments, offering insights into each other's work culture. It was a valuable opportunity to expand horizons, learn, and foster collaboration across departments, so I highly recommend job shadowing for its ability to promote understanding, build relationships, and enhance organizational synergy. 🌟💼 Overall, I think Talents@T-Systems is a valuable program that supports personal and professional development and fosters a culture of learning and innovation. 🚀📚 #tsystemstalents

Audit Associate at KPMG Global Services | Passionate about learning and organising Junior Managar at AIESEC in Bengaluru | I talk about cross cultural experiences and promote Sustainable Development Goals.
3 months ago, I decided to join AIESEC. I applied, got interviewed and got selected! I never thought people would doubt me… “Don’t you think it's a waste of time?” “Will you be able to do justice to your current job?” “Why do you want to join when you're not getting paid?” “Is it worth dedicating so much time?!” Even though I saw so many people doubting my actions, I knew what was best for me and that my decision of joining would definitely help me get better at various things. Here are the takeaways: 1-I being an ambivert networked with people in AIESEC who are extremely creative. 2-I am gaining practical skills which I wouldn't have gained if not AIESEC. 3-I have become better at socializing, and have made many friends here in a short period of time. 👫 4-I've started prioritising my work better by meeting the deadlines specified here. 🤝 Remember: To learn, you have to explore. Exploration leads to diverse experiences. ✌️ P.S: If you want to explore and have diverse experiences, I can help you with it. I'm just a DM away. 😇

Another week, another chance to hear #FellowStories 🎉 This week we chat with Rori, a proud DEI Committee member and a Hive Helsinki alumni. Rori joined F-Secure in 2021 as a trainee, and is currently working as a Quality Engineer. Reflecting on their time at F-Secure, Rori talked about learning: "There has definitely been growth in my organizational skills and ability to lead projects. I think I have also seen some personal growth, starting from my traineeship days when I made suggestions that were implemented. This built my confidence as a professional." Sharing their thoughts about F-Secure’s culture, Rori is aligned with our ongoing Culture Journey and values: "There's a shared sense of experience and responsibility in the company, which unites us. There's also an increasing tendency towards collaboration, feedback, and mentoring, which I think is part of a healthy feedback culture." As for the best parts of being a Fellow, here's what they thought: "In addition to the company culture and the ability to make a difference with my feedback, I appreciate the balance that we have, allowing me to focus on delivering my best work without compromising the quality of my performance. It has definitely developed a high standard for workplace satisfaction.” Rock on Rori! 💙

Today marks my first anniversary with Kennedys Singapore. Coincidentally, I've also organized our first multicultural potluck lunch to celebrate cultural inclusivity. The turnout and participation were amazing and the wide array of fabulous food was mindblowing. Reflecting on the past 12 months, we have achieved many firsts, such as 1:1 triangular conversations with employees and their direct supervisors, enhancing our annual leave scheme, conducting all-lawyers training offsite, implementing a structured internship program, sending personalised welcome emails to connect our people, having an internal mental health workshop and celebrating various cultural events in the office such as Hari Raya, Deepavali and possibly multiculturalism going forward 🤣 These milestones and collaborations wouldn't have been possible without the support of our partners, colleagues, and teammates. The supportive culture and values of the Firm – Approachable, Straightforward, Supportive, Distinctive – are truly lived out. Excited for more firsts ahead with and for our people at Kennedys Singapore! #KennedysLaw #KennedysSingapore #anniversary #supportiveculture
