Brisbane, Australia: An curtain of curved glass emerging to envelop the new performing arts venue designed by Snøhetta and Blight Rayner Architecture. Inhabit, a part of Egis Group, worked with seele and the architects to provide façade and building physics consulting to the project. The texture and shape of the riparian façade, and the materials used, reference the water’s edge at nearby Kurilpa Point on the Brisbane River. Leaves of the rainforest and the forms of water at Brisbane’s New Performing Arts Venue! Our #team is swiftly advancing with the installation of the theatre’s remarkable wavy all-glass façade, composed of curved and flat insulating glass panes. Each glass unit, standing 7m tall and weighing 2.4t, is installed using a specialised suction cup device.
