Some very useful intel on institutional funders' plans going forward below... ...and I've shared a sample of the 10 jobs/consulting opportunities/RFPs that you can find in the full newsletter. How about communicating the results of the CPUC’s NEM Lookback Study which concluded that non-residential NEM 1.0 and 2.0 solar customers pay more than their cost of service (see link below, page 11). Oh yea, the Commisioners at that time ignored their own study and still made decisions in the NEM 3.0 and NEMA proceedings that ignored those findings. And now taxpayer money is being spent to hire someone to “shape public perception”. Maybe that money should be used to make decisions based on the CPUC’s own data. https://lnkd.in/gPAuVcAp

The Baltimore bridge collapsing is a good testing point to see how you can improve your company. LET ME EXPLAIN First, the bridge collapsed. This is a problem for commuters. As someome living in Maryland, I safely said, "Thank god, I work from home." Are you offering your employees remote work? No, well maybe you should. Two, it has come to my attention that people are referencing Baltimore's mayor the DEI hire. 🤨 How are you educating your non POC employees what DEI is for your company. DEI should never be the affirmative action in the workplace. Ever. So why is that what goes through peoples mind? If these aren't problems you think your company faces, good. But it's never a bad idea to reasses. Treat your employees how you would treat stakeholders.

🙌 At Guardian Alliance Technologies, we're passionate about supporting law enforcement agencies in finding and retaining top talent. In a recent interview with Joe Monroe, Chief of Police at the University of Kentucky, he offered some compelling insights on improving recruitment retention rates in 2024. Joe emphasized the importance of creativity and building relationships early on. He said, "We need to get creative and target our audience before anyone else does. By engaging with students while they're still in school, sending them cards on their birthdays or congratulating them on their graduations, we show that we value them. This builds a strong connection and makes them want to join our organization." ✨ One aha moment from Joe's approach was his focus on early engagement and personalized outreach. "By getting to know potential recruits early and valuing them, we create a sense of belonging and loyalty. It's a simple yet effective tool that doesn't require a lot of money but makes a significant impact," Joe explained. Joe also highlighted the importance of innovation and thinking outside the box. "I always challenge our team to come up with new ideas. Being open to innovation is crucial for staying ahead in recruitment." Join us at Guardian Alliance Technologies to revolutionize law enforcement recruitment. Discover how our innovative solutions can elevate your hiring process at https://lnkd.in/es_jFB6 Let's shape the future of law enforcement together! #innovativerecruitment #creativeengagement #retentionstrategies #futurelawenforcement #guardian

This is unbelievable, I'm STILL unemployed. ARE YOU HIRING IN NORTHERN MAINE or 100% work from home? If so, please EMAIL ME, let's talk. About me: BS in chemistry, Master's in water resources and hydrology, Graduate Certificate in geographic information systems (GIS) focusing on ESRI ArcGIS. 25 years of professional work. Spread around 30 different industries. SUPER TIRED of getting laid off every 8 months, partially disabled with medical expenses on top of regular adult responsibilities - but can still haul a 40-lb box up a flight of stairs, seeking a SOLID CAREER OPTION not just a place to stay busy for the next six months. Versatile, easily trainable, take criticism well, like to diversify and cross train, jack-of-all-trades, willing to try something different or learn something new as needed, motivated, loyal to you if you'll be equally loyal to me, living in northern Maine and expecting to stay here. Seeking: Full time, permanent position with LESS physical stress than most of my previous roles (for medical reasons). I'm not super picky about the specific role or industry, but here are some examples... Administrative, office support/management, project coordinator, chemistry lab work, technical writing (NOT for social media, blogs, or SEO though), pharmacy technician (currently uncertified), optometrist (currently uncertified), GIS mapping/analysis (no programming experience though), customer service, non-IT tech support, or similar kind of role. I'm gonna say NO to these so don't even ask: Temp jobs, part-time jobs, frequently subject to layoffs, STAFFING AGENCIES, anything requiring relocation, sales, commission-based pay, insurance industry, collections/repossession industry, anything requiring a PhD or professional license (i.e. nursing or physician or civil engineer), pay rate below $40k/year, or any job that is mainly based on manual labor. #unemployed #hireaprofessional #hireme #jobhunt #jobseeking #fulltime #optometrist #pharmacytechnician #projectcoordinator #scientist #environmentalscience #chemistryjobs #chemist #newcareerpath #disabled #writer #technicalwriter #editor #helpmehelpyou #helpmefindajob #customerservice #mainejobs #willworkforfood
