Day 2 of Indonesian Startups in Taiwan 🇮🇩 X 🇹🇼 : Global Startup Exchange Program by Startup Terrace Kaohsiung 21 August 2024 marks the continuation of our journey in #Kaohsiung for the Global Startup Exchange Program. On the second day, Indonesian startups started their agenda by joining the Way South International Forum by Startup Terrace Kaohsiung. The forum unites partners from international incubators and puts heads together to spark up trending global agendas like smart cities and sustainable development. Our Indonesian startups took part in insightful panel discussions and pitched their future-ready solutions, giving a tour for expanding businesses into the New Southbound market. 🌏 The day concluded with a Startup #LinkUp International Networking Night as we connected with founders and representatives from other countries on a deeper level. As the height of connection building never stops, we grasped more understanding and insights about the global startup ecosystem, particularly in Kaohsiung and Taiwan. Can’t wait to see what’s on Day 3? Follow us to keep track of our journey recaps in Taiwan! ➕ #MarketAccess #StartupExchange #InnovationFactoyIndonesia #InnovatewithUs

🎉 Celebrating Milestones: Pace Forward - Thailand's Recent Launch In the world of startups, each launch is a milestone, brimming with excitement and anticipation. Despite my years of experience in this field, launching a new product in a new market always comes with its own set of doubts and challenges. Questions about pricing strategy, product-market fit, and overall success lingered in my mind. However, we were thrilled to acquire 2 students within 24 hours of our launch. The first batch of Thai Language Class was successfully initiated in June, marking a small win on a long road ahead. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my team for their unwavering trust, even when they were skeptical of some of my strategies. Their ability to turn my vision into reality has been instrumental in our success. Reflecting on this launch, I've realized that our early success wasn't solely the result of diligent preparation. It was also a product of my years of experience and the mistakes I've learned from. This realization has inspired me to share my entrepreneurial journey, aiming to create a platform for future entrepreneurs to learn from and for experienced ones to exchange ideas with. Stay tuned for more updates. #PaceForwardThailand #StartupJourney #Milestone #PaceForward

End-2-End Japan Market Entry - [White Labeled Operations for OEMs] *Distribution * Retailing *eCommerce * Marketing & Advertising * Import & Market Compliance * Logistics * Customer Care * Depot Repair * Field Service.
I’m not sold yet I’ve been investing for 20 years across EU, US and JP. Unless the startup is domestically focused, I’ve yet to have anyone effectively explain the strategic advantage of establishing your HQ in Japan. If your startup is domestic market focused, great go for it, you have a chance at success. If your product or services are globally focused, you’ll do better establishing your HQ outside JP due to excessive taxes. Even the Japan big industry players are offshored for global sales. VC raises are small compared to other markets. A complete overhaul of the corporate and investment tax structure is needed before Japan has a chance at competing globally on startup / scale up / IPO stage. Current model is ok for absorption of new tech/talent/products before they scale, resulting in a big letdown for the founders and big win for the acquirer. Furthermore, the corporate partner programs are dressing cover only due to lack of top level support and follow through. I see a lot of movement in nationalism and market protection in many sectors. The model in the article will more likely result in a bleed out in offshoring. For now, all the content hype I’m afraid is just that. Hint hint METI / JETRO

Japan's startup ecosystem is gaining real momentum for Japanese and non-Japanese entrepreneurs and the businesses supporting them. This piece highlights several entrepreneurs and startup ecosystem supporters but this is only the tip of the growing iceberg. Visiting SuShiTEch or any other startup event will make it abundantly clear that Japan is becoming a great place to start a business. If anything is still lacking, it would be funding for early-stage ventures. Japanese startups are becoming aware that the Japanese market is just not big enough for their ambitions, and going global for growth will be essential. Larger Japanese companies are also seeing that relying on the domestic market like they did for the past thirty years is not going to bring growth. And global does not have to mean the US. The fastest-growing economies are in Asia; for Japanese-based startups, going global from Asia is a great idea. This is going to be fun.

Sering kali, kita malah mau instant gratification daripada harus melalui, menghidupi, dan 'menikmati' (in a good way) rintangan itu sendiri. #LifeatStartupCampus #GrowatStartupCampus

Everything starts with an idea! ⚡ The phrase, what I love! but an idea alone is not enough—it needs to be refined and guided in the right direction. This requires the right team, suitable resources, expert guidance, and a supportive environment where there is room for failure and the courage to try again. Events like *ship Startup Festival in Kotka offer precisely these kinds of opportunities. At such events, I had the chance to meet inspiring entrepreneurs and mentors, present my ideas to the audience, and receive valuable, constructive feedback on what works and what needs improvement. 🚀 Finland is currently facing various challenges, and we need structural changes, particularly in the field of entrepreneurship. However, we have a strong foundation on which to build successful businesses. Finland has the expertise, as demonstrated by the many remarkable success stories like Nokia, Wolt, and Oura. We can create extraordinary success stories even from scratch and based solely on an idea. 🇫🇮 Still, there is much work to be done to create an even more encouraging environment for entrepreneurship and making an impact on the world. We must dare to fail, learn from our mistakes, and use those lessons to develop better companies and innovations in the future. 💡
