#CleanTech🌿 Mantel, a climate tech startup, has recently secured $30 million in funding from Shell to advance its innovative approach to carbon capture. Mantel is focusing on using molten salt technology to capture CO2 emissions from factory flue gases. This method offers a potentially more efficient and scalable way to reduce carbon emissions from industrial sources, a critical step in addressing climate change. #MoltenSalt - which has high heat retention and chemical stability, can be used to absorb CO2 at high temperatures, making it ideal for capturing emissions directly from the hot gases produced by factories. Mantel's approach could provide a more cost-effective and sustainable solution compared to traditional carbon capture methods. Shell's investment in Mantel reflects the growing interest in and support for advanced carbon capture technologies, which are seen as essential tools in the global effort to mitigate climate change.
