SaaS companies are raising their prices to chase short-term profitability. They are making a mistake that is not only frustrating to their customers but that will cost them money. If your SaaS product can profitably serve a segment, never price yourself out of that segment. By raising prices you will make extra millions today, that is true. You'll also make fewer hundreds of millions overall by failing to get to IPO.
