What is a Phase Gate? In project management, a phase gate is a decision point or review that occurs at the end of a project phase. The purpose of the phase gate is to evaluate the project's performance and progress against project and business documents, such as the project business case, project charter, project management plan, and benefits management plan. The phase gate process is part of the organization's project management system and overall business process, and it may be continuously updated and fine-tuned to ensure relevancy to today's project management challenges. #pmp #pmpcertification #pmpexamprep

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧? There is no shortage of fancy names, mostly with good intention, but it does get confusing! It is good practice to bring all your plans together under one umbrella, usually we call it the Project Management Plan (PMP). When writing a plan it is key that you take into consideration existing procedures and processes, because when it comes to implementation, if your plan deviates from the process, most likely your plan will change and not the process. #PMP #IntegratedPlan #APM

Dilbert Project Management for real-world Practitioners: (things they don't teach you on your PMP) Step 1: Make a detailed plan. Step 2: Put the detailed plan on a shelf and completely ignore it. Step 3: Firefight like crazy to try to salvage something (anything) from the ensuing wreckage. Step 4: Conduct a lessons learned session highlighting the need to follow the detailed plan on future projects. Step 5: Rinse and Repeat. #projectmanagement #pmp #lessonslearned #Dilbert

Handling conflict in #pmp is the cornerstone of project Management. Various techniques can be used for that Purpose. All of these come under conflict management for #pmp. Win-win 🏆 is always the goal, but we need to see what can be done in the current scenario. Sometimes, forcing or avoiding can be an excellent way to handle conflict. It all depends what is the problem at hand. You identify the root cause of the problem And solve it accordingly. What do you think when we use compromising and when we use accommodate?
