Every sustainability action, from large to small, is needed to make a difference for our future.  In the past week, I am excited to have played a role in each of these: 1) LARGE: Mars announces the net zero roadmap with a plan to cut emissions 50% by 2030 and aim to reach net zero by 2050. 2) MEDIUM (share below): A sustainability partnership come to life with SSA Group, Columbus Zoo, and our M&M’S Compostable Packaging, 3) SMALL: My condo building approval of commercial compost collection service to be available to all residents (we already have recycling).  I hope you have at least one example for this week too, but if not yet - today is the time to act! #TomorrowStartsToday #ProudlyMars #sustainableinageneration

In the garden, there is no question pruning is considered essential for future growth. It presents the same critical function for business leaders as well. It helps us remove anything considered excessive or undesirable. Having worked with teams all over the world in a variety of settings, I’ve never once felt like we had too many people. In contrast, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve found myself and others asking for more resources. No matter how many resources you have, it will never feel like you have enough! This is where the value of pruning comes into practice. Pruning away “sucker” activities, enables you to shift more energy and resources to delivering business value to your customers in your core business. SUSTAINABILITY IN PRACTICE IN MY HOMETOWN. On Saturday 8 June, "Green Day" will be organized for the first time in Haugesund, closing the street. The entire area will be filled with various sales, stands, food and drink, games and various activities - A meeting place for the whole family. People need to get their act together. We cannot continue as we are doing - We are talking about a consumer society and the protection of nature and the environment. The theme of "Green Day" is focused on SUSTAINABILITY, REUSE, ENVIRONMENT and responsible CONSUMPTION. The city's environmental station HIM has product samples and information about composting, and also has a pop-up from the second-hand shop. There will be sales of used bicycles and various items. It will also be possible to hand in hazardous waste. The starting point was a dialogue around a campaign to reduce food waste in the municipality, but found that it could be fun to have an even broader focus on sustainability. Human sustainability is also emphasized.
