Now, we invite you to save the date for INP’s Well-being Report release and panel discussion on November 4th! Hosted in partnership with The Boston Foundation, this event will take place in person with lunch and networking from 11:30am-12:30pm ET followed by our formal program from 12:30-2pm ET. This week was #WorldWellBeingWeek, an opportunity for participants worldwide to celebrate the many aspects of wellbeing, from meaningful, purposeful work to financial security, physical, mental and emotional health, social resilience and empathic corporate and civic leadership, community relations and care for the environment. According to the CIPD Health & Wellbeing at Work Survey, half of organisations (51%) feel they take a strategic approach to employee wellbeing. After all, happy, healthy staff are the cornerstone of any successful business. A desire to promote wellbeing at Ambition PR is the reason why we invested so heavily in transforming our city office space into a welcoming creative hub for our team. It's why we have successfully maintained a hybrid working pattern post-Covid, why we offer the opportunity to undertake mental health at work training with St Johns Ambulance, and why we provide free gym membership to all employees. To mark #WorldWellbeingWeek, WorkingWell's Lesley Cooper discussed the need for open dialogue about mental health in the workplace on Maddyness; a very fitting way to kick off this week's top 10! Here's what else we've been celebrating this week: ▶Gillian McMichael MCC discussed the 5 signs of burnout & how you can overcome it on elephant journal ▶Kris Flegg was featured on Big Think discussing how ancient Greek speaking skills can supercharge presentations ▶Gina Battye's new book ‘The Authentic Organization’ was top of the list of books on Psychological Safety on Five Books ▶News of Joyned’s partnership with Volunteer World went live on Travel And Tour World ▶James Crosby-Wrigley podcast interview on Sustainability Forward - The Podcast went live this week ▶Peter Verster's article on AI readiness went live in Training Industry, Inc. ▶Jeremy 💫 Blain's exclusive interview on distributed leadership and employee empowerment was published in the ETHRWorld ▶Alexis Sikorsky's interview with Dan Murray-Serter 🧠-Serter for Secret Leaders Podcast went live ▶Phil Morses interview was featured on Smart Thinking Books What achievements are you celebrating this week?

The Heart of My Journey: Sharing My Thesis on Digital Health and Workplace Wellness at IE University 🎓 Today, I'm thrilled to share something very close to my heart—my thesis, "Integrating Physical and Mental Health in Corporate Environments through Digital Platforms." This isn't just a research project; it's a chapter of my life filled with dedication, challenges, and immense passion. 🔍 Throughout this journey, I discovered how vital wellness is in our workplaces. My research led me to speak with dozens of HR professionals and employees, gaining insights into the real impact of wellness programs on people's lives and company culture. 🌟 Here's what I've learned: 1. Culture Matters: Transforming health in the workplace starts with a culture that values every employee’s well-being. 2. Leadership Makes a Difference: When leaders champion health initiatives, the whole company feels motivated. 3. Customization Wins: Every employee is unique, and wellness programs need to reflect that. 🙏 I owe a huge thanks to my mentor, Soledad Llorente, my supportive family, friends, and everyone who believed in this vision. This work is a testament to our shared belief in better, healthier workplaces. 🌟 Let's chat! If you're curious about how we can make our workplaces healthier or just want to share your thoughts, I’d love to hear from you. #WellnessAtWork #DigitalHealth #IEUniversity #FutureOfWork

"How can we create the best possible environment for our employees to perform at their best?" A simple question that can be answered in many ways due to a range of internal and external factors playing their part. What creates the best possible impact in your organisation will look different to the next. One thing is for certain though, we need to start by putting ourselves in the shoes of our people to understand what influences their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Research on over 1 million employees across 1,782 publicly listed companies by the University of Oxford's Wellbeing Research Centre shows that when we do this, we increase organisational performance, profitability and overall value. With a clear ROI, shifting the dialogue from “does this work?” to “how can we best support our people?” provides an opportunity for organisations to make data-driven decisions, develop a strategic plan and cultivate a culture of wellbeing specific to their needs. If you'd like some guidance on how to best support your people, drop us an email at hello@leadwellcc.com. We are always happy to help. Oxford Research: https://lnkd.in/e7nW3tpp

Pennie Beauchamp, our interim executive director, spoke this morning with @Roshni Shukla-Norville, a team member of Positive LeadHERship and doctoral student at Texas Women’s University. to talk about workplace wellness for women and mothers.👩🏫👩⚖️👩💼 One great takeaway from this insightful conversation was the strong need for employers and leaders to apply a human-first lens. One of the most powerful shifts that can happen within today's workforce may include leaders, managers, and organizations prioritizing employee wellness. This can lead to lasting change, not only for the individual employee as it relates to reducing burnout and improving individual mental health, but also can be incredibly beneficial for employers, too. From Roshni, “We as working women and mothers in society ought to lean into honoring our capacity, naming our needs, and advocating for ourselves to see this much-needed social and systemic change!” Stay tuned for the podcast to be posted! We are so excited! To learn more about Positive LeadHERship, check out their links: https://lnkd.in/g5zAWwMW

As we step into 2024, this is a call for businesses to prioritise the health and wellbeing of their people and commit to this by signing the GBC Leadership Pledge. Here are three compelling reasons why you should commit to this pledge: 1. Productivity and Innovation: A mentally resilient workforce is an innovative one! Prioritizing mental health unlocks creativity, problem-solving skills, and a heightened ability to navigate challenges. 2. Employee Engagement and Loyalty: When employees feel valued and supported, they become more engaged and loyal. A positive workplace culture, centred around mental health, fosters a sense of belonging, leading to increased retention rates. 3. Business Sustainability: Investing in mental health isn't just an ethical choice; it's a strategic one. A mentally healthy workforce is the backbone of sustainable business growth. By signing this pledge at the start of 2024, you are making a commitment to foster a workplace environment that promotes mental health awareness, reduces stigma, and provides resources for support. Like EDP and many other organisations have done, lets make 2024 the year we prioritise the wellbeing of our most valuable asset - our people!
