Statements like "ONLY THE STRONGEST AND BEST LEGAL MINDS SURVIVE" are intimidating and may deter potential candidates. Expecting an intern to commit for 6 months during their degree is outright unreasonable. Interns are expected to possess extensive skills in drafting and street smarts, yet the mentor admits to providing minimal guidance. This contradicts the very essence of an internship, which should focus on learning, mentorship, and guidance. A meager stipend does not justify these high demands. We were truly bowled over by the number of applications we received for Level’s summer internship programme­. We could have filled the places 20 times over. But what really overwhelmed us was the quality of applications and the time and effort that applicants had put into them.    We’re grateful to each and every applicant who took the time to tell us about themselves, either through insightful and engaging cover letters or informative and creative video submissions. Thank you to everyone who applied 🙏   Unfortunately, numbers on our summer scheme are limited. So, to show our appreciation to those whom we couldn’t offer a place, we will be hosting a 60-minute online careers session. During this session, members of the Level team will provide valuable insights into the firm, including what it’s like to work in our sectors, lessons from their careers so far, and their suggestions for assembling the strongest possible application to law firms operating in our sectors.
