These leaders understand that continuous growth is essential to leading well and driving our homeland and economic security mission forward. If you know me well, you know I’m always fangirling over Mr. Josh D'Amaro (aka future CEO of Disney ✨). In this video, he talks about how leadership is more important than ever. He shares his insights on being an inspiring leader who is essential for leading the team through boundless future and growth. Here are a few key points that resonated with me: 1. How you hold yourself matters: It’s how you say certain things and the way you carry yourself. If you do that, others will follow—that’s true leadership. 2. Treat your employees as you would a family member: Engage with them and show vulnerability. Building authentic connections is key. 3. Credibility is built over time. Simply holding a position of power isn’t effective—it’s about earning trust and respect over time. 4. Start with “I don’t know.” It’s a sign of vulnerability and a willingness to learn, which fosters true connection within your team. #leadership #growth #disney #workculture

Master's in Business Analytics, California State University | Actively looking for internships for Summer 2025
Today I joined the Pioneer Leadership Certificate Program, offered by the Student Leadership and Involvement Center (SLIC) led by Jul Custodio, MPH at California State University - East Bay. This 8-week journey is set to be both exciting and transformative, pushing me beyond my comfort zone. For my first assignment, we’re creating a "River of Life" project, which encourages deep self-reflection through visuals. This exercise helps us examine the parts of ourselves we choose to share, fostering greater self-awareness. Today, I realized that leadership starts with the choices we make every day—how we express ourselves, the words we use, and the values we embody. Each decision shapes our path and empowers us to inspire others. Embracing this journey means taking control of our lives and becoming the leaders we aspire to be.

Sometimes you need to remember that you’re not in the (fill in blank - investment/construction/law) business, we are all in the people business. Erik Lentz and Ryan Matthews are two of our rising stars, so we are so happy that they are willing to invest in themselves. Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management, LLC has a lot of talent we are extremely proud of. Now getting them to tuck in their shirts is another hurdle all together! 😀 #esop #employeeownership
Employee-owners Erik Lentz and Ryan Matthews attended the Bell Leadership Institute Achievers™ Seminar last week in North Carolina. The seminar is designed to help deepen the understanding of personal strengths, weaknesses, and motivations. At the end of the week, both received certificates for successful completion of the Achievers™ program.
