🚀 Is interior design the most dangerous part of space travel? When I started working on this episode, it was to shed light on the profound health and neurological impacts of solitary confinement on prisoners. During my research, I discovered that most studies on solitary confinement seem to have been conducted by NASA. This makes sense given NASA’s interest in mitigating the effects of social isolation and environmental deprivation, crucial hurdles in our quest to reach Mars. By understanding the damaging health consequences from prolonged exposure to under-stimulating, deprived environments, can we pave the way for a future where design does no harm, on our home planet, and beyond? Could the ambition to send humans to Mars inspire moonshot solutions to improve our own deprived environments here on Earth? 1751 SCENIC STRATIFICATION -Gautam Shah https://lnkd.in/gc5_36hN Stratification is a scene sectioning process. It needs some connectible edge marks to form the visual bridges. Where the scene is too wide or with some interference, the bridging does not occur. The scene markers are real and virtual. Real ones, consist of grills, lattices, sills, or such over lays. Stratifications, to be realized well, the scene needs to have some framing conditions. So architectural openings, gaps, apertures, mountain valleys, etc., offer horizontal stratified scenes. Examples of vertical zoning of scenes are rather few.

Another angle, another image from a spectacular rendering project we completed at the end of the past year - a cruise ship terminal in Arctic Norway. Although it was technically a View No. 1️⃣ As always with our friends at VÅG, we were super excited to be a part of this quick feasibility study. This small town in the north of Norway is a host to a large number of cruise ships throughout the tourist season. That means quite a lot of people coming off the ship during that period. Logically, the authorities realized that the passenger terminal needed to be upgraded. The initial idea was to show only one angle from the water which is only natural since the main access to the building is from the sea. But then the idea with waves came up and it was too good not to be taken into consideration.
