September 30th is Orange Shirt Day, or the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It’s a day to honour the children who never returned home, residential school survivors, their families, and communities. One of the ways we can honour survivors is to push for the completion of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) 94 Calls to Action. 🧡 Local governments have an important role to play in implementing the Calls to Action. An action you can take in the lead up to September 30th is to email your council asking them what they’re doing to make progress on the Calls to Action for local government.
