Each episode is bursting with conversations, readings from theoretical texts and sonic tidbits emerging from the research project, The Good Enough Host, and is guided by a single theme, be it the role of disagreement within manifestos of collectives or anti-hierarchal approaches to relational practices. Day 1 Recap of Intergeo Expo, Stuttgart !!! Day one of the INTERGEO Expo and Conference in Stuttgart kicked off with an exciting start, setting a high-energy tone for the days to come. The Halls were buzzing with activity as attendees dove straight into discussions on geospatial innovation. The event officially began with an opening speech by Professor Rudolf Staiger, president of DVW e.V. – Gesellschaft für Geodäsie, Geoinformation und Landmanagement, who introduced the DVW Future Prize. The award went to "Cop for All", a revolutionary project using Earth observation data to improve land management in North Rhine-Westphalia. This was followed by a compelling keynote from Godela Roßner, who emphasized the critical role of Earth observation in understanding climate change and how EU satellite programs are pivotal in climate protection efforts. Dr. Burkhard Boeckem, CTO at Hexagon AB, delivered another highlight presentation on how AI and digital twins can help industries make better decisions, solving complex challenges and shaping the future. Throughout the day, industry experts like Michal Gula from Overhead4D, a renowned 3D expert, and Ika from Hexagon AB demystified digital twins, revealing how companies can fully harness their potential. Meanwhile, Meta Mich from Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon introduced the new Leica GS05 GSS smart antenna, drawing much interest. For those involved in water management and infrastructure, Autodesk's representative, Yeim, discussed how the company is transforming the future of water infrastructure, another pivotal topic of the expo. The "Science and Geo-information Session" was a major highlight, with students pitching their research on advanced topics such as semantic segmentation and satellite imagery. This culminated in an award ceremony, recognizing the best ideas and fostering future talent. Day one closed with high anticipation for the legendary "Exhibitor Evening", promising a lively networking atmosphere for professionals. 🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 I am thrilled to share that the first episode of the ESA documentary series on YPSAT-EYE2SKY also known as the Young Professionals Satellite, where I had the honor of leading the mechanical test campaign during its first milestones whilst I still worked at ESA as a YGT, has been released on YouTube! 🌌 After more than 2 years of dedication and hard work from the incredible team of the young professionals community at European Space Agency - ESA, all the experts support, YPSAT is set to launch on the maiden flight of Ariane 6 on July 9, 2024. Its incredible to see where it all began and what this team accomplished. The journey to get here proves the mission's success and the purpose of YPSAT. Cant wait for the maiden Ariane 6 flight🚀🔧🌟 Thank you European Space Agency - ESA and YPSAT for this incredible experience and for choosing this amazing photo as the documentary cover page. (Inside news, this photo was taken when we had observed some disturbances during the first ever random vibration tests in the out of plane axis at spacecraft level. This was further rectified after further investigation that one of the onboard component's supplier had forgotten to torque the screws leading to this). Funny thing is that since it was a completely closed component, so we spent quite some time thinking that the disturbance was caused due to a more critical failure in the spacecraft structure rather than a components interiors.
