In the wake of the Eagle Mine Heap Pad disaster cyanide pollution not contained from 4M tonnes of slide from the pad, stock plummeted, Board chair fired, in receivership. See this tick tock on the evolution of the failure . Heap leach pads are the new mode for the worlds lowest grade ores and now provide 20% of the world copper production. The large number of high consequence heap leach pad failures post 2020 makes it the highest failure rate in the world. Looking for solid numbers on number of HLP's and total post 2020 production volumes. This was the second failure at the Eagle pad.
