Did you know bearing life can drop to just 20% of catalogue life under contamination? NSK TF steel delivers up to 10 times the durability of standard carburized steel in these tough conditions.
We have many years' experiences working with the cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates industries. Through this experience, we have developed a solid understanding of the sectors' requirements, environment and applications, helping us solve problems with a variety of innovative, reliable solutions. For example, we know that contamination is a big problem within cement plants. Contamination will wear away at your machinery's effectiveness, causing unplanned and costly downtime. However, through our four core technologies, we manufacture and supply bearings that are more resistant to spalling, flaking, wear and seizure caused by contamination. A positive step forward to a low-carbon cement industry. The future of a low-carbon cement industry is bright, thanks to innovative engineering technologies. However, an important aspect of this progress is the readiness of the industry to embrace these advances. Clinker reduction and the use of Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs), such as calcined clay, are not only feasible, but represent an opportunity for growth and transformation. C/Clay is a process born to support greener alternatives. As part of our GREENKEY SOLUTIONS, this approach goes beyond technical solutions in cement production. It offers the opportunity to empower manufacturers through retraining, optimise supply chains and inspire the market to embrace new, sustainable materials. The local availability of SCMs adds another layer of opportunity, encouraging regions to explore and leverage their unique resources. About C/Clay 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e5VgbcMt The process of decarbonizing the cement industry is a collaborative effort, combining technological innovation with broader industry changes in cement and construction. The world is ready to embrace this positive change in the way we build, bringing new ways to advocate for a sustainable future. #sustainabletechnologies #cementindustry #calcinedclay #innovativeengineering

When your #concrete #structure is in a harsh #environment like #puertorico You need to know the difference between the #cement that are available in the market #rapidset products are made of BCSA the others are made with ordinary #portlandcement Here is a very powerful knowledge for #you Portland cement is the traditional, widely used cement that offers moderate setting times, broad applicability, and proven durability, but with a significant environmental impact due to CO2 emissions. • BCSA cement is a specialized cement that offers rapid setting, high early strength, and improved durability in aggressive environments, with a lower environmental footprint. It is especially useful for applications where fast construction and resistance to harsh conditions are critical. The choice between these two depends on the specific requirements of the project, including the environmental conditions, time constraints, and sustainability goals. BCSA cement is perfect for #puertorico #icri #structuraldesign #structuralengineer #civilengineering

We are looking forward to our final 2024 in-person Breakfast Meeting, 'Portland Limestone Cement: Where are we now?'. Join us on Thursday, December 12th in Roseville, MN at the Midland Hills Country Club. REGISTER: https://lnkd.in/gw8WT8iD Portland Limestone Cement: Where are we now? After a nation-wide rollout, there has been widespread success as well as some important questions asked. As the industry moves in the direction of more sustainable mixes; blended cements and new pozzolans will become more common. This topic will talk about the current state of cements in the US, the experiences of using PLC cement in a wide array of projects and what the future holds for the cement and concrete industry.

Composite cement, also known as blended cement, offers several benefits over traditional Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). Some of the advantages of composite cement include: 1. *Environmental Benefits*: Composite cement reduces greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption during production. 2. *Improved Durability*: Composite cement enhances resistance to chemical attacks, sulfate resistance, and long-term durability. 3. *Cost-Effective*: Composite cement is often cheaper than OPC due to lower energy requirements and utilizing industrial waste. 4. *Enhanced Workability*: Composite cement improves concrete workability, making it easier to mix, place, and finish. 5. *Reduced Heat of Hydration*: Composite cement lowers the heat generated during concrete setting, reducing thermal cracking. 6. *Better Resistance to Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR)*: Composite cement minimizes the risk of ASR, which causes concrete expansion and damage. 7. *Low Permeability*: Composite cement reduces water penetration, enhancing concrete's water resistance. 8. *Sustainable*: Composite cement promotes sustainability by utilizing waste materials and reducing cement's carbon footprint. #QaQc #Quality #civil Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Learn about the differences between Class C and Class F fly ash, as well as the benefits AND drawbacks of using fly ash in concrete production in Triangle Ready Mix's FREE Triangle Tech Tip:
A pozzolan is a siliceous or siliceous-aluminous material that, when mixed with water and in the presence of calcium hydroxide, reacts chemically to form compounds that have cementitious properties. This reaction, known as the pozzolanic reaction, helps enhance the durability and strength of concrete. The most common pozzolan used in concrete production is fly ash. Fly ash is a byproduct of coal combustion in power plants and is widely used as a supplementary cementitious material (SCM) in concrete. Fly ash is favored not only for its performance benefits but also for its environmental advantages, as it reduces the need for Portland cement, lowering the overall carbon footprint of concrete production. Additionally, using fly ash can improve resistance to chemical attacks, reduce permeability, and enhance the long-term strength of concrete. Read more about the benefits, as well as drawbacks, of using fly ash in concrete at: https://lnkd.in/gaZ3d-TW #concreteknowledge #triangletechtips
