🔬 STEM Competition Announces New Partnership 🔬 The International Research Olympiad is an initiative I started to help promote STEM research skills globally. Eligible to middle school and high school students around the world, we are hosting our Opens Exam in one week, with registration closing in just two days! We're so excited to announce our partnership with Lumiere Education and the Lumiere Research Inclusion Foundation. Lumiere has not only generously agreed to sponsor the 2024 IRO, allowing us to host in-person finals at Harvard University and create an amazing experience for our participants, but worked with us to create free, reserved spots for a select few IRO participants to conduct summer research under the guidance of Lumiere mentors, for free. Furthermore, in our commitment to making research more accessible, we have dedicated a few spots—through The Lumiere Research Inclusion Foundation which has previously provided over $140,000 to students in aid—specifically for students who come from low income backgrounds. Many of these students cannot pay the hefty price tags associated with both online and residential summer research programs, or may not have had the same opportunities as other students from magnet or private schools. More information about these prizes for International Research Olympiad participants will be released soon, so make sure you are registered for the 2024 IRO if you haven't already: https://lnkd.in/euSfSzMZ Registration closes March 3rd! Special thanks to Stephen Turban and Dhruva Bhat for working with us — the amazing founders at Lumiere who are promoting inclusion and accessibility in science research.

Hi Rishab Kumar Jain, I submitted my fee waiver application for IRO about 8 days ago, but I haven't received any response yet. I've also sent two follow-up emails seeking clarification on the status of my application, but haven't received a reply to those either. I made sure to fulfill all the requirements and attached two documents: 1) Tax payment and 2) Screenshot of the accepted fee waiver email for my YYGS application. It's always been important to me that my economic situation doesn't hinder my participation in extracurricular activities and learning opportunities, but this time it's very frustrating, especially with just one day left. I would greatly appreciate it if you or someone from the team could confirm whether my application was received and if any further information is needed.
