How do you design a surgical system with no model to work from? It’s a challenge that requires tenacity and technical know-how.

#Intuitive360 is just beginning, and we’re already feeling the impact. Today, Leslie Wainwright, PhD, hosted an accredited ACHE pre-conference bootcamp focused on applying design thinking to healthcare’s most pressing challenges. Leaders from across the country came together to equip themselves with an expanded set of tools, skills, and mindsets to stay ahead. We’re talking about design thinking. About empathy-driven collaboration. About sustainable program design.
At Intuitive, we’re committed to supporting hospital and health system leadership in pursuit of the quintuple aim while working together to overcome healthcare’s top issues. Thank you, American College of Healthcare Executives, for your collaboration. We’re better, more insightful, and more innovative—together.
Over the next few days, more than 1,300 executive, clinical, and operational healthcare leaders from around the globe will join us for our 9th annual #Intuitive360. We’re here to collaborate and innovate our way to a future that’s less invasive and profoundly better.
How do we do that? By sharing experiences. By exchanging ideas and best practices. By exploring innovative technologies designed to enable better outcomes, efficiency, and insights.
Thanks to our colleagues and friends at American College of Healthcare Executives, AORN, and Becker's Healthcare for helping us bring Intuitive 360 to life.
Let’s transform surgery and lung cancer care—together.
“I didn’t feel like an intern—I felt like an engineer, like part of the team.” — Annam Gunney, Mechanical Engineering Intern

Enabling peer-to-peer engagement between surgeons is at the core of our Executive Surgeon Leadership (ESL) program. We’re thrilled to be able to bring this program to surgeon leaders in Asia with the support of Dr. Michael Stifelman, chair of urology and director of robotic surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center.
The program, both in the US and now Asia, empowers hospital executives and surgeons to build scalable robotics programs that could lead to better patient access.
The first ESL cohort in Asia gathered in Taiwan recently and comprised 10 executives and surgeon leaders from Japan, Korea, India, Taiwan, and China. Together they discussed common challenges in building robotics programs as well as best practices and key learnings.
Collaborating with surgeons and helping hospitals to build successful robotic surgery programs—that’s Intuitive.
Our Mexicali site recently hosted Semana de la Excelencia—Excellence Week—which celebrated our collective commitment to continuous improvement. Throughout the week, employees heard success stories from their fellow team members, attended workshops on problem-solving, project management, and played games to practice continuous improvement techniques.
Operational Excellence Engineer Mayra Ceballos, a member of the event’s organizing committee, summed up why the week meant so much to her and the entire team:
“It’s the culmination of all our continuous improvement projects and an opportunity to celebrate the team members who strive to make our work easier and more efficient. The whole company gets to see their impact on the business, inspiring all of us to continuously improve every day.”
If you’re ready to join the team whose innovations are shaping the future of minimally invasive care, check out our open roles in Mexicali and around the world: https://lnkd.in/e2MdX_Ce#WeAreIntuitive
“At Valley Surgery Center, robotic assisted surgery isn't the future. It's the present.” In these words, we see a vision for a future of care that is less invasive and profoundly better. This is a vision we share. One we’re striving to achieve, together.
Congratulations, Valley Surgery Center. And thank you for being pioneers. For helping lead the way to minimally invasive care. So many potentially improved outcomes lie ahead.
*Individuals’ outcomes may depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to patient characteristics, disease characteristics and/or physician/surgeon experience.
Nothing inspires belief in the potential for robotic-assisted surgery quite like putting your head into the surgeon console and experiencing it for yourself.
We were thrilled to be able to donate a da Vinci Si to the Seoul Robot & AI Museum, which recently opened in South Korea. Visitors to the Intuitive exhibition hall will be able to experience the surgical system through activities and simulations in a recreated operating room setting.
For over 25 years, our belief that minimally invasive care is life-enhancing care has led us to where we are today. As our journey continues, we’re excited for opportunities to offer the public a chance to discover the incredible potential of da Vinci firsthand.
You’re never too young to learn about lung cancer, or the innovative technologies that help enable clinical confidence to get early answers and accelerate lung cancer program impact. Here we are with our friends at Breathe Southern California, as we live that principle. We also brought our Thoracic Oncology Mobile Experience (TOME) along for the ride.
TOME is more than just a truck. It’s a purpose-built experience designed to advance the awareness of how Intuitive technologies help get earlier answers for lung cancer patients. Screening for lung cancer is critical. Knowledge is critical. Not just in California, but also across the U.S. That’s why we put TOME on wheels—so we can take our experience where it’s needed.
Lung cancer may be the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide, but we’re striving to change that. Together.
The human body has its limits. What doesn’t have a limit is human ingenuity. At Intuitive, we’ve been transforming surgery for more than 28 years. All that work has brought us five generations of da Vinci.
Da Vinci 5, the most advanced and integrated system we’ve ever created, delivers our best and most realistic 3D image with better color and resolution. It’s also our most ergonomic system, delivering an immersive console that offers even more comfort to aid in career longevity.
Transforming surgery for the benefit of patients, surgeons, and hospitals—that’s Intuitive.

One of the most exciting things about working at Intuitive is our growing global presence. Though our roots are in Silicon Valley, California, our mission of bringing minimally invasive care to all communities means constantly expanding our reach.
At this moment, we’re building new sites in several countries, including in Parvomay, Bulgaria, where construction is underway on a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. The team there will increase our capacity to make endoscopes for Intuitive’s da Vinci robotic surgery systems.
We’re excited to hire for assembly and engineering roles that will not only allow people to grow meaningful careers in their home country, but impact people’s lives around the world.
