Proud to be part of the dynamic ecosystem of #Cotedazurfrance In 2018, few months before the labelisation of 3IA Côte d'Azur with some friends, in particular Félix - Eliott Kudelka we launch ClusterIA 😇 Now the state has labeled our #3IA as a IA-Cluster and being recognized as one of the French academic centers of excellence in AI.   👫Big Thanks to the 3IA Côte d’Azur team, Chairholders, PhD students and post-docs, and #AI compagnies and startups   🔢 The French President, Emmanuel Macron has announced a grant of €20 million for the project “3IA Côte d’Azur 2030”, which will complement the €19 million already allocated to the “3IA Côte d’Azur” project for the period 2019-2023. Germany and France join forces in the AI-ralley. Thank you Anne Bouverot and Philippe Huberdeau for leading this event. Europe still has AI-talent, an ecosystem of the old industry with huge insights in processes, creating (still mostly unused) training data and more. Germany and France are the power horse of Europe ranking 3 and 7 in GDPs worldwide. We are not out of the game, yet. Lets invest in commercially usable open source training data which our powerful European AI ecosystem of companies, startups and academia can reuse and improve. Maybe to train powerfull virtuall data engineers? We only have a few thousends in Germany and maybe (im dreaming here) in a few years we design and invent machines en par with an experinenced data engineer with a masters degree? Such a workforce of 1000s of virtual data engineers MADE IN EUROPE would really help us to solve many problems. And the best, we will not rent these from somewhere else :)
