On Sept. 11th, let's remember all we did as a nation to fill our blood banks, to support our injured, to give of ourselves in the most tangible way. The Blood Banks still need you, your fellow Americans still need you, this country still needs you. We may feel broken, we may feel at odds with one another, we may feel insecure about what to say & how to communicate, we may be feeling uncertain about our future, but we are all in this together & if we look around, we may just begin to realize our neighbors, our colleagues, our local coffee baristas, our bank tellers, our librarians, everyone is feeling the same way. We are more alike than we are different. But if we can rely on each other for a cup of sugar, an egg, a story, a smile on a gloomy day, and blood in those vital moments of crisis like we did on 9/11, lining up for hours making sure our banks were full, we can make a future for this country! Please consider making an appointment with your local Red Cross. You never know who you might be saving. *Also consider the bone marrow registry & becoming an organ donor. (living donors are important too!!) #BloodDonation #BeTheMatch #Donors #SaveALife #America #RedCross #Community #HealthAndWellness #YouMatter #BeMyNeighbor #Support #September11th *pictured is a collection of 3 pictures: 1st picture with a super hero blood droplet & the text- To be a hero, donate blood! 2nd picture is a blood bag with the text - it just takes 15 minutes donate blood. 3rd picture is a chart of blood types.

Global Sales & Marketing Leader | Driving Market Disruption through Strategic Innovation & AI-Driven Solutions | Keynote Speaker & Author”
Today, on 🩸World Blood Donation Day🩸, I’m reflecting on the profound impact a single act of kindness can have. Did you know that someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds? Count 1 and 2, that's 1 need. While you were reading this already 3 persons needed blood. That’s approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells needed every single day. And that's only in the US, globally, the demand is even more staggering. One blood donation can save up to three lives. A ripple effect of hope and survival starts with a single person deciding to give. I did my part today by donating at the American Red Cross. It’s a small gesture I know I should do more often, but it’s my way of honoring this special day. My grandmother, an honorary donor, gave blood more than 100 times. Her legacy is a testament to the power of regular blood donations. Giving birth is a miracle, but saving a life? Knowing that your blood doesn’t just run through the veins of your children, but also flows in someone else out there, connecting you to a stranger in an extraordinary way – that’s truly amazing. So here’s to all the donors who’ve made a difference and to those who are about to take that step. Your generosity doesn’t just save lives; it creates an unbreakable bond of humanity. #WorldBloodDonorDay #GiveBlood #SaveLives #AmericanRedCross #gruzdev

The winning school in the conference will receive $1 million to advance student or community health. All blood types are needed, especially O negative and O positive. If you’re eligible, please consider donating today and let’s come together and make a difference. Your generosity can give someone another chance at life. Need to know
Certainly! Understanding Blood Type Compatibility Here's an interesting fact: people with Type O negative blood are like superheroes in the blood donation world! They can give their blood to anyone, no matter what their blood type is. That's why they're called universal donors. But wait, there's more! Folks with Type AB positive blood are the lucky ones. They're known as universal recipients because they can accept blood from donors of any blood type. It's like they have a special ticket to get blood whenever they need it, no questions asked. So, in a nutshell, Type O negative folks are the givers, and Type AB positive folks are the receivers when it comes to blood donations. It's a beautiful cycle of giving and receiving that helps save lives every day. Credit: Dr. Paul wischmeyer

Did you know that you have superpowers too? I've been a blood donor since 2012, and at the end of June I was awarded the highest honor by the President of the Polish Red Cross: the 1st level of Distinguished Honorary Blood Donor. We can save lives without a medical degree, and achieve it by being selfless and giving. Blood banks often run low during the summer. This is the perfect time to donate. Or spread the word to remind others. Each of us can be a superhero in our own way. Working together, we can make sure those who need help get it. Every drop of blood does count! 💪❤️ #BloodDonation #BeASuperhero #SaveLives #CommunitySupport #SustainabilityInAction

Today, on National Organ Donation Day, I’m reminded of the incredible gift one person can give to another—a second chance at life. Imagine waiting for a call that could save your life or the life of someone you love. For many, this is a daily reality. Thousands of people across the country are waiting for a heart to beat again, lungs to breathe anew, kidneys to cleanse their blood, and eyes to see the world. Organ donation is an extraordinary act of kindness, but it comes with it's challenges. Finding a suitable match involves many factors beyond blood type. This is why increasing awareness is important—more registered donors mean better chances of finding the right match and saving lives. One donor can save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of up to 75 others through tissue donation. We all have the power to make this difference. Understand the impact of your decision, and register to be an organ donor. By becoming an organ donor, you’re giving someone a second chance to live and also leaving a legacy of hope and life. #kauveryhospital ##kauverycares #OrganDonation #SecondChance #NationalOrganDonationDay2024
