🚀 Inspiring Week in London | #LC24 Highlights Last week was so much more than just a visit to London …. it was a journey through the latest advancements in genome research and #nanopore sequencing technology; it was a blast of an event and an amazing opportunity to catch up with collaborators; but also, an important step for my personal endeavour as well as our community efforts towards democratising real-time sequence data analysis. At Oxford Nanopore Technologies event #LondonCalling2024, I had the honour of presenting our brand new, real-time long-read metagenomics data analysis solution, “RT-metagenomics”. During a Product Demo session hosted by Sarah Griffiths I have been showcasing how easy our solution integrates with ONT’s user-friendly analysis platform #EPI2ME and how our community-standardised, best-practice software solutions can be employed to tackle environmental and health challenges at an analysis speed you have likely never experienced before. Big thanks and greetings to the whole #EPI2ME team as well as to all collaborators and supporters without whom this would not have been possible, especially those on site including Susanne Gerber, Stefan Pastore, Anna Wierczeiko, Tamer Butto, Nathaniel Deimler, Vincent Dietrich, Charlotte Hewel from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Yannik Busch from Stefan-Morsch-Stiftung, the participants of our community activities #NanoporeHackathon Velik Velikov, Conradin Baumgartl, Victoria C., Guang-yi Chen, Dr. Julian Sommer, Mohit Navandar, Max Stammnitz, Christine Driller, the team at Triathlon - Universität des Saarlandes and many more. One Nanopore community! #10YearsON #nanoporeconf #Genomics #Biotech #StartUpLife #OneHealth #Saarland #Tech #realtimegenomics #Multiomics #ForthIndustrialRevolution

Packing my bags for Milan this weekend - the 2024 Human Cell Atlas General Meeting is calling! The agenda is packed with exciting keynotes, but I'm especially looking forward to the talks that resonate most with our work at Nygen Analytics: - Jose Ordovas-Montanes tackling cell type annotation challenges in gut atlases - Nelson Johansen's insights on similar hurdles in brain mapping - Malte Lücken is leading the charge on data integration in the Lung Bionetwork (great catching up at #scverse, Malte!) But the talks closest to my heart are those from the rising stars in the single-cell computational statistics field: 🌟 Shila Ghazanfar's deep dive into spatial data analytics 🌟 Mo Lotfollahi's exploration of perturbation modeling The spatial omics revolution is in full swing, and I'm eager for talks on spatial atlases, tissue circuitry, and tumor microenvironments. We'll also get a glimpse of cutting-edge tech from industry leaders. Who else is attending? Let's connect! #HumanCellAtlas #SingleCell #SpatialOmics #Bioinformatics #HCA
