🚀Sex offender linked to multiple states, crimes arrested in Sacramento County with teenage girl, sheriff’s say🚀 ✨An observant Sacramento County jewelry store clerk helped deputies arrest a sex offender linked to multiple states and crimes, the sheriff’s office said. In February, officials said 44-year-old Scott Bartholomew Prange was shopping for a “promise ring” with a 15-year-old girl in Rancho Cordova. The clerk felt Prange’s behavior was suspicious and contacted the dispatch center. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Amar Gandhi said deputies found Prange was a tier-3 sex offender, the highest risk category for the most serious sex crimes. He had multiple prior arrests for absconding from parole, including fleeing the state and multiple arrests for being in possession of child pornography. “Since then they’ve just uncovered so many other potential victims,” Gandhi said. Officials said Prange was found to have thousands of videos depicting child pornography. After further investigation, detectives uncovered videos Prange produced himself showing sexual abuse of children, officials said. I often hear when it comes to sex buyers things like "they're JUST paying for sex", "why are we wasting resources on men purchasing adults", "what happens between two consenting adults shouldn't be an issue", along with countless other asinine statements with little to no supporting evidence. This is part of why it is so important we target sex buyers. Not only are they fueling the demand for human trafficking, but they are routinely VERY abusive to women, often hiding as rapists, and at times hiding as murderers. Agencies are routinely only trying to recover minor victims, often times leaving anyone over the age of 18, routinely down to the age of 15, leaving these women and girls vulnerable to the violence being exerted by the buyers. #sextrafficking #humantrafficking #leadership #management #innovation #socialmedia #endhumantrafficking #publicprivatepartnerships #stopthedemand #lawenforcement #police #lawenforcementtraining

Internet sex crimes can take many forms. Some of the most common examples include possession, distribution, or production of child pornography, sending sexual images to a minor, sexual solicitation, sex trafficking, and cyberstalking. As the internet has grown in popularity, increasing numbers of rules and regulations have been set forth dictating what constitutes an online sex crime. In some cases, an individual may not even be aware they have committed a sex crime, but these crimes are often felony charges accompanied by significant penalties. When such crimes involve a minor, penalties often grow even steeper. For more information, click the link below or call Cohen Law Offices at 715-514-5051 for the best help you can hire. One of the many consequences of a sex crime conviction is having to register as an offender. As a registered offender, your name and the crime you committed will be publicly accessible and easily viewable. In most cases, you will have to register for 15 years from the date of your conviction. Failing to register at any point when required is its own separate crime. These and the many other severe penalties that accompany a conviction for most sex crimes means you should challenge sex crimes allegations aggressively. This is yet another sickening example of the protection of criminals over victims. When buying sex is a mere slap on the wrist, publicly shaming these sex criminals would be the VERY least we could do. Of course, somehow the website has been removed and buyers were not published. Exactly, who are we protecting here? The victims or the criminals? How can we expect to DETER crime when these are the actions being taken? This is a slap in the face to Sheriffs like Grady Judd who fiercely led these sting operations. The way to fight trafficking is to punish, and deter, the buyers. This is supply and demand economics, not rocket science. Yet, only one state (Texas) has made buying sex a felony.

Without demand, there would be no sex trafficking. You may not have thought much about this third component of the trafficking triad. Freekind focuses on supporting survivors, and our friends in law enforcement focus on taking down the traffickers. But the third component of the triad deserves more attention, because it's the buyers who are fueling this multi-billion dollar criminal industry. I encourage you to take 3 minutes out of your day to read this article from National Center on Sexual Exploitation and consider talking with your local and state officials about taking steps to deter demand in your community. There is no public sex offenders register available in the UK, but information about people who pose a risk to children can be given to parents and guardians in certain police service areas under the government’s child sex offenders disclosure scheme (also known as Sarah’s Law). You may have heard of Megan’s Law, or the Family Watchdog website, but these are specific to the USA, and don’t apply here in the UK. Under the Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme (CSODS) the police can tell parents, carers and guardians if someone has a record for child sexual offences. The scheme is also known as Sarah’s Law, after 8-year-old Sarah Payne (pictured) who was murdered in 2000 by a convicted sex offender. The police will process the application, but disclosure is not guaranteed. Where appropriate, information will only be disclosed to parents and guardians or those best placed to protect a child. Even if there are no firm grounds for suspicion, the applicant can trigger an investigation to find out if the subject (the person they are asking about) has a known history that means they might be of risk to children Visit any police station or call your local police non-emergency number. More information can be found on the relevant police force’s website. #projectrescuechildren #sarahslaw
