Campaigns and reform that bring about change for generations must be led by lived experiences. Voices of those affected must be placed at the centre of our conversations. But HOW do activists and advocates keep putting their stories and lived experience out in the public domain to achieve that change? What does centring voice in organisations, communities, policy making and law reform actually mean? Well, Grace Tame and I are going to go beyond the rhetoric and share with you reflections in conversation delving into The Power of Lived Experience. Tickets available here: https://lnkd.in/gyEcu7D6 #DSC2024 #LivedExperience #leadership #HumanRights #change
What is the power of lived experience? Hear Grace Tame and Natalie Wade, on the work that matters and how it's fuelled. Only at the 2024 DSC NDIS conference. Don't skip it - in Sydney or online. PS... if you have questions for Grace and Natalie, you can add them by clicking on any speaker on our conference page.

I took the opportunity this afternoon to catch up on the insightful interview Sak Awan - FIEP had with Steve Smith from SIAS. I will definitely be taking away few key topic that resonated with me for my team: ▶ Tri-Party Partnership: The emphasis on creating conditions for success through collaboration between the apprentice, employer, and training provider is crucial. ▶ SIAS Start Point to End Point Model: This model is vital for the EPAO sector, ensuring a comprehensive and streamlined approach from beginning to end. These are just some of the key elements I took from the interview. The insights shared are incredibly valuable as I continue to develop my own pathways as Head of EPA Operations. My vision for my team and our customers revolves around this partnership model, always prioritising the apprentice's success at the centre. For those who haven't seen the interview yet, I highly recommend watching it. It's packed with practical insights that can help shape and improve our the world of EPAO. #Apprenticeships #EPA #SIAS #TriPartyPartnership #Success #ProfessionalDevelopment
