Helping the retired, the redundant and the divorced to regain their confidence, reconnect with who they are and silence their inner critic so they can navigate life with certainty
stop making the wrong decision If you want life to change you need to change the decisions you make. Instead of choosing the easy option choose the right option for you, which may mean it’s difficult right now but it will be easier in the future. #bepresent #enjoytoday #selfbelief #peace #TurningPoint #shorts https://lnkd.in/e-bbRmH8

On July 4th we celebrate the courage of those men and women who embraced the idea of freedom and indepedence and sacrificed much to earn it. It took over seven years from the time the Declaration of Independence was signed until the day the British surrendered, but those in the halls of Congress, and those who rallied behind such a powerful ideal didn't know how long the task would last. Today we are honored and inspired by those same "self- evident" truths to continue building a more perfect Union, no matter how long the task will take. Happy Indepedence Day! #independenceday #transformers #distributiontransformers #fieldservices #temporarypower #circulareconomy #sustainability #rentalpower

🎆 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗜𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 🎆 Did you know that when you achieve your goals, the ripple effect can be felt far beyond your personal success? It's not just about you - it's about your family, your community, and the world that benefits from your gifts. After 20+ years practicing sociology as a career consultant, human resources, and organizational development professional, I've seen how individual prosperity can uplift entire communities. When you thrive, you create opportunities not just for yourself, but for those around you. Your success can be a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change. Think about it - when you land that dream job or graduate from that special program, you're not the only one celebrating. Your family rejoices in your accomplishments, your friends are inspired by your determination, and your community gains a leader who can make a difference. What about naysayers? As you start to let go of excuses and take charge of your life, not everyone will celebrate with you. Your success can demonstrate that it can be done, obstacles and all. For some, this disrupts their victim mentality and the excuse laden narrative they have internalized to stay comfortable. Their lack of celebration isn’t your problem. What they think about you is none of your business. One of the best ways to tell if you’re on the right track with success is that the “higher” up you go, the more criticism you will get. People who are jealous of you will Focus your energy accordingly. If you focus your energy on your naysayers, they will feel more empowered. When you focus your energy on those things which bring you joy and well-being, you will be empowered. But how do you get to joy, well-being, and achievement? It starts with setting clear goals and having the courage to pursue them relentlessly. It starts with a deep understanding and awareness of *who you are*. It starts with surrounding yourself with others who will love and celebrate you. As a Chief Learning Officer, I guided organizations to not only set their sights high but to achieve them with purpose and passion. As a career consultant and adjunct college professor, I’ve done the same on a micro level. The theme of my ministry is helping people and communities thrive. ✔️ What is your ministry? ✔️ When will you take action on your goals? ✔️ Who will celebrate and support you? ✔️ What goals are you working towards that will not only elevate you but those around you as well? Remember, your success is not a solo journey. It's a collective triumph. #AchieveMore #CommunityImpact #GoalSetting #LoveCareerFreedom *** I am on a mission to advance social justice in the workplace. I certainly can relate to this. Often the person graduating is the first, not only in the family but in the clan. What makes this extra special is the sacrifices made by the poor parents, usually single mothers, to support their child through education. Something else happens. The graduation is the culmination of societal hopes that their lot will soon change. The graduate is expected, not only to land a job but a decent and well paying one. After all every generation expects the next one to get better. The mother definitely expects her graduating son/daughter not to do menial jobs like herself. In today's South Africa, this is where the wheels come off. The hopes of the family and of the graduate are raised, with expectations of getting employment. Where the mother is staying in a mud hut, because she is still waiting for the allocation of the Reconstruction and Development Programme (RDP) house from government, one of the top priorities would be to build her a decent home and restore her dignity. Not so fast though! First, the recent graduate must get a job. With the high levels of unemployment, there are many university graduates who are roaming the streets unemployed. Thus, it's a case of hopes raised, hopes dashed! The poor parent will have spared no effort in supporting her child in the hope that things would get better once they graduate. Perhaps there needs to be a change in mindset so that young people educate themselves, not only with a job in mind but with starting their own ventures in mind. However, the moment of graduating is still worth celebrating. Better an unemployed but educated person than an uneducated and unemployed person.

Concerns about the so called "Safe Supply Drug" Program in BC: 1️⃣ Toxicity of unregulated drug market remains unaddressed. 2️⃣ Overdose deaths have not decreased, with 2,224 in BC in 2021. 3️⃣ Public safety is at risk with increased public drug use. 4️⃣ Lack of support services perpetuates addiction cycle. BC NDP/Liberal Premier David Eby's recent plans to recriminalize public drug use shows a shift in government stance. Due to his lack of support in the polls , his about face looks like its purely out of self interest & self preservation. Drastic measures for identifying & addressing root causes of addiction, ensuring public safety, and providing support services is needed. Let’s work together and oust the NDP/Liberal government coalition from BC and tell them NO MORE so called "Safe Supply" paid for by tax payers and recriminalize hard drugs. We need to tell the NDP/LIBERAL's to Stop poisoning our community, secondly stop acting like you didn't create the problem. Jagmeet Singh is POISONING our province and our country by supporting the Liberals. He can put a vote of no confidence at any given time, but instead he chooses to flood British Colombia with Hard Drugs to poison British Colombians.
