Targeting the wrong roles: Not all international jobs perfectly align with your skill set. Research thoroughly and ensure your applications match your qualifications and experience. Don't just apply for everything that sounds exciting. 2. Visa and work permit challenges: Many countries have specific visa and work permit requirements. **Research extensively** to understand the process and address any potential roadblocks before applying. 3. Localization missteps: Adapting your resume and cover letter for specific regions is crucial. Use local language terms and formats relevant to the target market. Networking gaps: Building connections in your desired international location can be highly beneficial. Actively network online and offline. Join relevant industry groups, connect with professionals in your target region, and attend virtual or in-person networking events when possible. 5. 5 Strategies To Get Hired Overseas Without Knowing The Language. link- https://lnkd.in/d_6-ZN7t Getting hired overseas may not be as complicated as you think as long as you follow certain ...The U.S. is one of the most expensive countries in the world, with an average single person’s cost of living a staggering $3,544 a month. With exorbitant prices, it’s no wonder that the number of Americans moving abroad is at its peak—and has risen by 16% in the past year. But job applicants in the U.S. are often faced with a series of hurdles that lead to an array of stressors. Job seeker anxiety can be so great that 70% of applicants lie on their resumes. Others resort to using AI to polish their resumes, although the practice is frowned upon. Some companies ask candidates to attend multiple interviews, and sometimes the process drags on to a fourth, fifth, sixth—even as much as nine rounds, and candidates are unclear what the final interview is, according to some accounts. An unspoken rule is to be honest and polite on resumes and during interviews. But stress and anxiety can interfere with a good performance. What will the interview be like? Who will conduct it? Or will I be able to be on the top of my game? Career experts highlight the importance of preparation and strategy for prospective candidates. Job seekers applying for jobs overseas are often faced with even more complicated obstacles of how to begin the process because of cultural differences. So, it’s important to become familiar with the hiring environment you are facing if you’re job seeking abroad. To the rescue, Alexander Konovalov, intercultural expert and founder of Vidby—a technologies of understanding company. He offers five tips to get hired overseas without knowing the language, but he points out that you need to do your homework first before applying for a position outside the country. 1. Do Your Global Hiring Due Diligence Before reaching out, Konovalov advises that you research the company’s stance on global talent. “Explore its website or LinkedIn profile to gauge its attitudes towards hiring from abroad and, if uncertain, contact current and former employees for insight. If the company is open to global hiring, approach HR directly to express your interest. This targeted approach allows you to showcase your adaptability, emphasize your skills and stress the value you will bring, increasing your chances of receiving a positive response.” Asad Farooqui Arshad Farooqui Akshay Deshmukh Arpit Maniar Sachin Poojary Avinash Sharma Amruta Marathe Juveria Khan Furqan Khan Evangeline Amair Nishchint Desai Prashant K. ❓❓ Why am I not pass the CV screening for application to Japan jobs? ❓❓ Many people apply to job applications for role, but never pass the CV screening or why they never get a response. So why? ⭐️These are my perspectives and thoughts as a recruiter: ⭐️ 🎑 1) #Japanese requirements - Generally if a JD on the must requirement has Japanese requirement written. Then yes it is a must!! If it is only the preferred requirements then you should give it a chance and apply. I have seen candidates that ignore this and apply and usually they will not get a response. Also if the JD is all in Japanese and you dont speak japanese it would be best not to apply. I have seen candidates that apply to JD that is all in Japanese and they dont speak japanese and I usually pass those candidates. 🚢 2) No overseas hiring - This is one of the main reason you may not get a response because very limited companies do overseas hiring, so it would be a good idea to see if the company does overseas hiring first before applying 📄 3) Direct application - Most direct application to #job #board or company pages has low response rate. If you can it is recommended to try to use a knowledgeable recruiter or internal referral 📝 4) CV is bad - each country has their own CV style, page limit, format and style. So it would be a good idea to see what type of CV is recommended in Japan, length and style. I have seen so many bad CV, and taking time to make a good CV really makes a huge difference! 💴 5) Salary expectation - occasionally when you apply for a job, if you set your salary expectation too high, they will ignore your CV as it will feel it is a waste of time since they cant pay you anyways 📈 6) Years of experience - Of course companies should be open minded, but if the role is 7+ years experience required and you have 3 +years experience and you apply then most likely you will fail. If Japan sets a certain number of years of experience, then it means they are actually looking for that number years of experience in general 👨🦳 7) Age, Nationality - Unfortunately in Japan there is still lots of Bias and if a candidate of a certain age applies to a job application they may ignore as they could be too old. Generally if you are 50+ and overseas looking for a job in Japan, it is quite hard. Nationality - there are countries that Japan immigration office often struggle with getting visa sponsorship for, so usually they will prioritize applications from certain countries that are easier to get visas for These are some reasons of course there are more, but I do have a limit of words I can write here. Again hope this helps some people out there get a better insight. Do let me know if there specific post or information you would like to learn more about from me. #IT #Recruiter #Japan #insight #tokyo #myexperience

Is your CV a passport or a barrier to your dream job abroad? Let's explore the difference. Navigating the job market in a new country can feel like trying to solve a puzzle with missing pieces. Your CV is the cornerstone of your job application, and yet, so many talented individuals inadvertently turn it into a barrier rather than a gateway to international opportunities. The secret? Tailoring your CV not just to the job but to the cultural nuances and expectations of the country you're targeting. For instance, while brevity might be prized in the US, detailing achievements and responsibilities could be more valued in countries like Switzerland or Singapore. Moreover, it's not just about what you say but how you say it. Employing powerful action verbs, quantifying achievements, and aligning your skills with what global employers are looking for can dramatically shift your CV from the no pile to securing that coveted interview spot. Remember, your CV is more than just a document; it's a narrative of your professional journey crafted strategically to appeal across borders. If this resonates with you and you're poised for an international leap in your career but unsure where to start with your CV—let's chat! Crafting compelling narratives that open global doors is what I thrive on. Together we can transform your CV into not just a document but a passport to incredible overseas opportunities. Let’s make sure yours opens doors rather than closes them!
