Most leaders step into their role with the intent of making an impact and adding value to their organization and the people they are blessed with leading. Not where you want them to be, where they really are. What talent, experience, and resources does your team have at its disposal. - Next, figure out where you are supposed to be going. What are the goals for your group and what does success look like for your organization. - Finally, once you know where you are and where you want to go you can sit down with your team and chart a new course. Focus on identifying what challenges your team will face and what resources and support they will need to reach their goals. Stop wasting your time, talent, and energy, and that of you team members with busy work. Find out where you are, where you want to go, and then help your team blaze a path to success.
