Our own VP of Tactical Training Brendan Pierce has been elected Vice Chair of the NIIFTE advisory group. In this leadership role he will work with industry partners to advise NATO on how to best scope NATO Flight Training Europe in order to increase the scale and quality of pilot training for allied partners.

With the establishment of the NIAG Industrial Advisory Group NIIG to NATO FLIGHT TRAINING EUROPE (NFTE), called NIIFTE, the NIAG will provide advice on industrial, technical, economic, management and other relevant aspects pertinent to NFTE. Following the adoption of the Terms of Reference, the leadership of the NIIFTE was also elected. Chair: David Bentley (UK - Consultant); Deputy Chair: Brendan Pierce (CA - ITTC); Secretary: Axel Gauthey (FR - CAE). I wish them and the entire NIAG community the best of luck in making the NFTE a success together with NATO.
NATO Flight Training Europe (NFTE).
Opportunities abound here.
Historically Allies have been continually challenged by the ebb and flow of pilot training. In particular Advanced Fast Jet Training pre type conversion. When I joined the RAF in ‘92, it was the same deal, well over 200 young pilots found ourselves ‘stuck’ in an extended ‘hold’ increasing the multi-million per pilot 3yr training period out to 5-7 years. This generational backlog had significant long term consequences for all those careers. But, far more important were the negative impacts on delivery of Air Power, subsequent retention issues, and now for some Allies, even pilot recruitment is becoming an issue.
I have witnessed at least 3 such downturns in as many decades, under both in house military and civilianised flight training systems.
NATO Flight Training Europe aims to work collaboratively amoung allies to address these challenges head on through innovative approaches across all aircrew training for crewed and uncrewed platforms.
This endeavour will be utterly reliant on Industry engagement from the outset through the body of NIIFTE, promoting an open transparent and healthy market place to match Allied demand to industrial capacity.
It will not be easy, but we have best in class leaning in on this. Become a part of the solution.

If OS rumours are anything to go by, the Egyptian Military possibly purchasing China's J-20s, J-31 Falcons, J-10Cs etc, then might explain production ramping up of other variants vis WS-15/J-20A or WS-10C/J-20 ditto. Also ties in with expanding China-funded vocational training centres popping up across that region. Wonder if latter premising HR feeder for China's Djibouti and potential future bases in Africa?
Want an insight in to NATO's joint pilot training programme in Texas? That’s where the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT) school has been training pilots since the early 80s. Not only a cost-saving measure, it gives Allies the chance to pool resources including instructors in the task of training new pilots, this is a place for students and instructors to pass on tactics and form multinational relationships that will span their careers. Allies contributing to this training are Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States. https://lnkd.in/dkbRhUtRSupreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE)JFC Norfolk (NATO)NATONATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) @
A few weeks ago, A-ICE, in partnership with the 3rd wing of Italian Air Force, had the honor of presenting our Collaborative Logistics Optimization System (CLOS) to a delegation from the Royal Air Force. This event spanned two dynamic days, during which our team at A-ICE showcased how CLOS can revolutionize the efficiency of air military transport missions. The demonstration highlighted the innovative capabilities of our system in enhancing operational logistics, including transport mission planning optimization, cargo loading simulation and optimization, track and trace, and the CLOS virtual hangar.

One of the most successful EU military operations funded by the #EPF is EUTM Mozambique 🇲🇿, established in 2021.
It is maybe the most iconic paradigm in Africa of the "train and equip" model that the #EPF made possible after its establishment in 2021.
The High Representative is so proud of us: A military mission funded by the EPF for the training of the Armed Forces of an important partner, in conjunction with an assistance measure under the EPF for the provision of the equipment that is necessary for the training.
The two pillars of the Facility working hand in hand.
This mission is now being transformed to EUMAM Mozambique. New name, new mandate.
The facts and figures attached are really impressive.

Best invest in Building Fusion power, space, and maritime propulsion systems and industry,
You talk about Nuclear (meaning Fission) and fail to discuss fusion.

The nuclear fission industry is, ignorant of what's happening around you.
Pull your uranium heads out, start adjusting your industry to fusion energy and start preparing to enter the commercially growing fusion energy industry. As it dawns on Earth like the sun.
Great Headline Guardian on Nuclear fission.

Fission is moving towards obsolescence at an accelerated pace, as it is "out of step, out of time, out of place," and merely a temporary industry globally.

Commercial fusion electrical generation is a promising innovative sustainable and clean energy method.
By 2028, Helion is expected to start producing electricity from its first fusion commercial power plant, which will provide electricity to Microsoft. The plant will produce at least 50 MWe after an initial ramp-up period.

Visit of military Operational Air Traffic unit (OAT) ✈️ in Bratislava🇸🇰
The main goal was to specify the areas that need to be focused on during lectures and simulator training for military air traffic controller (ATC) students who study at the Faculty of Aeronautics Technical University of Košice based on the signed agreements of cooperation between the Faculty of Aeronautics TUKE, the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic and Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik🪖. I was allowed access to the air traffic control units, where real flight activity was monitored. It will be possible to apply the acquired knowledge and experience in lecturing.
