Our Director of People and Operations, Dominique Moses, had the opportunity to speak with WBBM | CBS Chicago yesterday when their crew came for a visit to Ivy Hall Dispensary in Bucktown. Yesterday, it was announced that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will move to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug, but will remain a controlled substance and would not become federally legal...yet. While this may not be as big of news such as if marijuana were to become federally legal, it is however, a small win and a big step in the right direction for the Cannabis industry as a whole. We'll take it! 👏🎉 https://lnkd.in/gac-U2YF

We have secured a highly desirable location for our Dispensary operation in New York. The requirements for entering this market are considerable, but we have successfully met them. Our projected annual revenue for this project is $10 million, and we anticipate a return on investment within 24 months. We are pleased to offer monthly profit sharing opportunities and a generous equity share to our team members. Background on the New York Market: In 2016, the use of medical marijuana in New York was legalized, and as of 2021, recreational use has also been permitted. Currently, there are only 112 licensed dispensaries operating in the state. Despite its relative newness, the market in New York has experienced remarkable growth in revenue. From June 2023 to May 2024, sales increased from $8.9 million to $42.66 million, demonstrating a strong demand among consumers. #CannabisStocks #InvestinginCannabis #CannabisMarket #MarijuanaStocks #NewYorkCannabis

CBS Miami recently hosted a debate on Florida's Amendment 3, which would legalize recreational marijuana for adults aged 21 and over if passed. Amendment 3 would allow adults to possess up to 85 grams of marijuana or 5 grams of marijuana concentrate and enable existing medical marijuana dispensaries to sell to recreational users. Supporters, like Republican State Senator Joe Gruters, argue that legalization would curb the black market, regulate marijuana products, and reduce nonviolent drug offenses. Opponents, like Dr. Jessica Spencer from the No on 3 Campaign, warn that it could lead to increased unregulated drug use and potentially higher crime rates. For the amendment to pass, it requires at least 60% of the vote. If approved, the Florida legislature would be responsible for developing regulations, but marijuana would still remain illegal at the federal level, leading to potential legal complexities https://lnkd.in/ew2wrYdk

How construction managers can deal with changing marijuana laws On Dec. 2, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency will hold a hearing on whether marijuana should be reclassified as a Schedule III drug. That would remove it from Schedule I — which includes heroin, LSD and ecstacy — and reshelf it alongside Tylenol with codeine and anabolic steroids. Relationship Builder and Solution Innovator for Cannabis and Cannabis Adjacent Businesses Start with checking out my recommendations for some background I’m always interested in disruptive ideas!!
The DEA’s proposal, which still must be reviewed by the White House Office of Management and Budget, would recognize the medical uses of cannabis and acknowledge it has less potential for abuse than some of the nation’s most dangerous drugs. However, it would not legalize marijuana outright for recreational use. After all there are no recreational retail steroid stores 🤔 Check out the full article in the first comment 🔗 #cannabis #cannabisindustry #cannabislegalization #cannabisbusiness #cannabisnews #bidenadministration

As we continue to wait for the DEA to announce whether they will reschedule cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule III (as the HHS recommended last year), a new congressional report is detailing the many limitations of this proposed policy change. Rescheduling cannabis without other legal changes would not bring the state-legal medical or recreational marijuana industry into compliance with federal law. Activities such as manufacturing, distribution, and possession of recreational marijuana would remain illegal under federal law and potentially subject to federal prosecution regardless of their status under state law. As we've stated previously, the only true path to justice is to deschedule cannabis, remove it from the Controlled Substances Act, and provide retroactive relief. This is what we will continue to advocate for. Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/eXJTYJqS
