Chart of the Week. It's about sex, and teen sex at that. But not so much sex per se; rather, as a way to understand the role of technology in the lives of the next generation. There's so much going on right now to rein in technology that we can miss what will be going on next. This week's chart is one illustration. As always, thanks. And please share. Replacing real experiences with virtual ones. Normalized for us who are living it, our predecessors would mostly say something is very wrong looking at these data. J. Walker Smith - do we have this view for 20 something’s too / how this ripples into young adulthood ??

Great stuff. Thought 1: what are the implications for population growth/ decline/ fertility as this cohort matures; especially with the growth of AI and VR as sex substitute options. Thought 2: yes, *always* look for what's going up when you see a declining trend!!

Really interesting and, to me, surprising in terms of the magnitude of both trends, Intriguing question of - will the lines cross, will each asymptote into a separate camp, or will increased sexting serve to normalize the topic and push the behavioral line back up?
