Empowering Growth & Safety: Certified L&D Professional | Certified HR Associate | Champion of Psychological Safety & Engagement
I'm on episode 7 of the culinary class wars, and it's a tear-jerker. As I end my Sunday, I find myself reflecting on the powerful message of the episode. The self-made cooks may not have had the same access to culinary schools or global exposure, but their hard-earned skills from working in restaurants, watching cooking shows, and their passion for the craft allowed them to rise to the challenge and win the cook-off. This resonates beyond the kitchen and applies to the corporate world. Even if you’re just a rank-and-file employee or don’t have the same level of formal education as others, it doesn’t mean you can’t contribute meaningfully. Success is not limited to titles or degrees; it’s about passion, hard work, and continuous learning. By believing in yourself and leveraging your unique strengths and experiences, you can compete and excel, regardless of the competition. In any environment, whether it's the culinary world or the corporate world, you don't have to be the most qualified on paper to make a difference. What matters is your drive, your belief in your abilities, and your commitment to growth.

Calling all #bean buffs, #legume lovers and #pulse pals! Did you think there could be an entire #podcast devoted to these #sustainable and #nutritious sources of #plantprotein? Not only do beans offer fiber-rich and #nutrientdense nourishment, but they use fewer natural resources, help to build #soilhealth and are steeped in many cultural traditions. Advocating for more #chefs, #dietitians and those working in the #foodserviceindustry to make them the center of the plate more often is part of a pathway to true #foodsystemstransformation I think it's key to mention that beans grown with #organic and #regenerativeagriculture practices ensure that fewer chemicals are used, fewer greenhouse gases are emitted, and increases the likelihood of greater #polyphenols produced, all of which benefit people and #planetaryhealth #beansishow #eatfortheplanet #plantbased #plantforward
