The leadership of the NATA has done a huge injustice to its membership by not promoting, pushing, & making its members aware of all the benefits of this setting. There is a VITAL need for our services in these places. For too long we have been blinded by the care of children. Calling for an AT in every high school is an unrealistic pipe dream. Leaving our salaries in the hands of administrators who truly have no clue what we are capable of as allied highly trained medical professionals hoping that salary surveys will change it is the definition of insanity. The parents of these children who are working in industries across the nation are being chewed up & spit out. It’s time for the NATA & its membership to focus on an area of need that can put an end to useless & meaningless salary surveys & 100 hour work weeks.
