JLR will be using Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified tyres supplied by leading global tyre manufacturer Pirelli across its vehicle portfolio, including the new Range Rover Electric. Made from natural rubber and rayon, Pirelli’s FSC-certified tyres comply with stringent environmental and social criteria required by the world-leading non-governmental organisation for sustainable forestry. Natural rubber supply chains are extremely complex, with millions of individual farmers contributing to global supply, making traceability challenging. Lack of traceability increases risk of deforestation, forest degradation and human rights abuses. FSC’s rigorous social and environmental standards eliminate this risk, providing farmers with social protection of working conditions and confidence that the highest ethical standards are being adhered to. By committing to Pirelli’s FSC-certified tyres JLR is helping to support responsible forest management and protecting the integrity of our rubber supply chain. Clients can enjoy high performance tyres with assurance that the origin, quality and ethical standards are fully traceable, right back to each individual rubber plantation. Pirelli and JLR are also working together to increase the sustainable and renewable content of all tyres supplied to JLR as they work towards shared sustainability ambitions.

Jaguar Land Rover UK rolls out natural rubber tyres across luxury range 🚗✨ Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has joined forces with tyre manufacturer Pirelli in an industry‑first commitment to use FSC‑certified natural rubber tyres across its range of modern luxury vehicles. JLR, which is headquartered in Coventry with a centre in Gaydon, will be the first to adopt these tyres at scale, debuting on the new Range Rover Electric. The commitment will amount to over 250,000 FSC‑certified tyres per year. The company says it’s also working to ensure that natural rubber used in its tyre production is traceable across every processing stage through to origin. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) UK (FSC) chain of custody certification process verifies that a material has been identified and separated from non‑certified material as it makes its way along the supply chain, from the plantations to the tyre manufacturer. 🔎🦺When I analyse the total fleet cost of running Michelin new and Michelin Remix together, on average, it's only 8% more expensive than the premium competitor on tyre price. 🌍⛽️🛞🥽 However, we don't just look at price difference. Fuel reduction, longevity, environmental impact, grip, regroove rates all are part of the equation.
