💧285 million m3. This is the amount of water saved by our industrial sites over the last 20 years. This corresponds to the water consumption of Brussels' inhabitants for 5 years. 🌍On the eve of the celebration of World Water Day, and given the strategic importance of water in our industry, we recall the importance of water conservation and reaffirm our commitment to reduce our water consumption by 33% by 2030 compared to 2019 levels. This goal motivates our responsible approach, which focuses on water sobriety and recycling. For every ton of tires produced, we use 2.6M³ of water for tire curing and cooling equipment. By gradually installing electric curing presses, we've eliminated the use of water while reducing energy consumption. By making water management a priority and better controlling our water footprint, we are helping to preserve this resource not only for today, but for years to come. #AXAClimate #UN #Waterpreservation #WWF

Today, most of the world's hydrogen is produced from fossil resources, resulting in significant CO2 emissions. To meet the challenge of sustainable hydrogen production, we are launching Alcal'Hylab, a joint research laboratory combining the expertise of Michelin, the CNRS and 3 French universities! Our talented teams will work together to develop next-generation materials that will improve green hydrogen production through innovative water electrolysis technologies. Highlights of our partnership: ➡️ Combining expertise: By joining forces with the CNRS, Université Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble INP - UGA and Université Savoie Mont Blanc, we are consolidating our long-term partnership focused on advancing hydrogen technology. ➡️ Innovative solutions: We aim to develop an Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzer (AEMWE) technology that combines the strengths of existing methods to enable high-speed hydrogen production with minimal environmental impact. ➡️ Commitment to sustainability: This partnership not only demonstrates our commitment to a low-carbon future, but also highlights the importance of collaboration between academia and industry to accelerate innovation and technology transfer. Together, we are paving the way for a more sustainable hydrogen technology and are confident in its potential for energy transition across industries. #composites #materials #innovation #hydrogen #polymer Photo Credit: Vincent Martin

Did you know that only 30% of the world's children in school are girls and that 2/3 of the 900 million illiterate people are women? In Southeast Asia, as in the rest of the world, girls' education is an economic and social priority. And for many families, education is a luxury. Aware of the importance of educating young girls, Michelin, through its Corporate Foundation, has decided to support Enfants du Mékong in its efforts to promote inclusion and equal opportunities by providing access to education for over 100 young female students in 4 Southeast Asian countries where the Group operates: Thailand, Cambodia, The Philippines and Vietnam. This initiative aims to empower young girls through education, creating a virtuous circle where each of them can become an inspiring role model within their community and for future generations. #InternationalWomensDay United Nations Global Compact Fondation d'Entreprise Michelin
