Here’s just some of the things (in no particular order) that we have to go through before we first hit that record button. Setting up and analysing the lighting Setting the correct height of the tripod Formatting the sd cards Adjusting the aperture Adjusting the ISO Adjusting shutter speed Choosing the picture profile Selecting media resolution and frame rates Correcting the white balance Checking the composition Cleaning the lens Nailing the focus Checking sound levels Repeat for each camera set up This is why we need a bit of time to set up, to make sure we get the best sound and image possible for our clients.

Here are the key ingredients to traveling as a videographer 🎬 ✈️ 1. Apple Airtags- yeah I bet you weren't expecting that but it's honestly one of the more important aspects that often gets overlooked. If your bags and gear aren't being tracked, there's no way you'll ever build the confidence to fly your equipment over and over again💡 2. Master your Craft- you need to be good enough to still produce great content without the studio, the expensive lights and the heavy equipment. By mastering your craft, you should still be able to produce a great video with minimal camera gear, lighting and audio. 🛠️ 3. Fly Solo- This isn't always possible but when you can, slim down your production to just 1 person. This makes it easier for clients to consider flying you across the country for a shoot.
