💫 I live for productivity and efficiency 🔎 One of our portfolio managers, Fabrice Grinda at FJ Labs, is one of the most efficient people in tech on the planet. Totally agree with the tips and use them daily. Here are my top three. - The Rule of Three: each day, I select three things that I aim to accomplish by the end of the day - Agenda Blocking: I plan my schedule for the following week every Friday. Having dedicated focus blocks has significantly improved my concentration - Meditation: daily meditation helps me maintain focus for longer periods, reduces mind-wandering, and allows me to work with greater attention I can also really recommend the book: hyperfocus.
You should check out Protolyst - easily 3x's our productivity and our ability to manage all the different strands of investment process, game changing
Thanks for the shoutout, James! 💜
Good ones James Heath; especially loved Pareto principals. Quick add: You don't have exactly 24 hours on the day for work; It's better to set and complete 3 goals than have 7 and 40% accomplishment tasks.
"Any decision is better than no decision" - Margaret Thatcher. A mantra which served her well right up until the Poll Tax. 😂
Very helpful, thank you. And I burned most of my news reading capacity for today already by reading this.

8moI agree with most! - “don’t think about work in other environments” is a bit tough for VC peeps, since it is a people’s business, where any person you meet is an opportunity to learn about what they do, how they behave or react to situations and how you could cooperate to fulfill a job vacancy, a due diligence inquiry, a fundraising intro, etc. - For meetings, I found the best would be a 45-min slot, which could be adapted to 30 or 60 depending on how it goes, and it also allows for “transition time” (delays, organizing takeaways…)
