There are at least two cover ups associated with the Greensill Scandal and they're both represented in this photo: Cover Up number 1 (obtained a financial advantage by deception - former UK Prime Minister and Greensill partner, David Cameron); and Cover Up number 2 (enable a parliamentary constitutional coup to override Australia's constitutional rights to freedom (water rights), former Water Minister, Penny Wong. I wonder if they've reached an agreement on how they're going to work together to screw over both me, and the People of Australia and then called it "national security" when in fact they're referring to covering up their own backsides? ==> Australians need a constitutionally enshrined Bill of Rights, and we need a military and security services who are obliged to defend our most fundamental rights. Otherwise, oligarchs (an emerging organised crime plutocracy) can bribe people like David Cameron and Penny Wong to act in their interests, and in the interests of foreigners, and not in the interests of tens of millions of everyday Australians.

As a veteran, September 11 holds a profound significance for me, as it does for many of us. On this day, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed and the countless heroes who stepped forward without hesitation. Our armed forces, first responders and those willing to sacrifice their lives exemplify the very best of what it means to be American. This day is not just a reminder of the tragic events that unfolded but a testament to the strength, resilience and unity of our nation. In an election year, it's easy to focus on our differences, to get caught up in the heated debates and the division that seems to follow. But September 11 reminds us of a fundamental truth: we are united in so many ways. Our shared values – especially those of freedom and security – are safeguarded by the brave men and women who serve our country, both at home and abroad. Let's take a moment today to pause, reflect and honor those who have given so much. And let us remember the importance of coming together, of standing united and of showing gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy. Today, and every day, we owe a debt of thanks to those who protect and serve, ensuring that our nation remains strong and free. The lengths to which governments will go to ensure their agendas are achieved, even at the expense of human tragedy, is a disturbing reality. The current conflicts around the world suggest hidden agendas beyond national interests, driven by elites in positions of power. Despite warnings to learn from history, these concerns are often ignored. The USS Liberty incident stands as a stark reminder of how those in power manipulate foreign policy to serve their own interests, disregarding justice and morality. It remains a tragic example of the disregard for human life in pursuit of political agendas.

The Four Pillars- In june of 1873, with the Revolutionary War won, General Washington wrote a momentous circular to the States sometimes referred to as Washington's Legacy. Washington felt that for him, to remain silent on certain issues ,"would be a crime",he then listed four fundamental elements " I humbly conceive are essential to the well-being, I may even venture to say to the existence of the United States as an independent power." "First, an indissoluble union of the states under one federal head. Secondly,a sacred regard to public justice. Thirdly, the adoption of a proper peace establishment. And fourthly, the prevalence of that pacific and friendly disposition among the people of the United States which will induce them to forget their local prejudices and policies, to make those mutual concessions, which are requisite to the general prosperity, and ,in some instances, to sacrifice their individual advantages to the interest of the community." "These are the pillars on which the glorious fabric of our independence and national character must be supported; liberty is the basis, and whoever dare to sap the foundation, overturn the structure, under whatever specious pretexts he may attempt it, will merit the bitter execration and the severest punishment which can be inflicted by his injured country". Now, many moons later, the dangers he warned could destroy our Nation, are, in fact,being actively pursued by those presently in power.

A good book, providing a focused history on the chaotic demobilization of the Confederate armies in the spring and summer of 1865. The author, Civil War historian Caroline Janney, gives a deep legal, political, and societal exploration of the means by which the tens of thousands of Confederate soldiers went from active rebellion back to peacetime lives. In this chronological history, Janney relies heavily on primary source material. The author clearly explains the broad debate amongst government authorities in the wake of Appomattox: were the surrendered Confederates under military parole, and thus prisoners of war protected from civil legal actions, or were they now rebel civilians, subject to charges of treason. Janney shows how, contrary to myth, Grant’s favorable terms of parole with Lee were not the finalization of this debate, but instead its point of origin. The lack of a clear surrender by the Confederate’s political leadership and the absence of accepted policy from Washington meant that federal, judicial, and state officials were in a state of confusion in the many months it took the Confederate soldiery to disband to their homes. A great book for understanding how wars end. Highly recommended for any military professional engaged in the transition from war to peace.
