Last week, I surveyed the participants to determine their protective actions in the face of a possible natural disaster.
Two actions were selected, the ones that most help us protect life.
The question was: What actions have you taken?
The survey had seven votes, and the results are shown below.
However, with such a small sample, it is only advisable to make statistical inferences if we use nonparametric methods.
Primarily, the invitation is to prepare family emergency plans that include the selection of several evacuation routes that we practice in advance and to have an idea of the time the journey will take.
This will help us make better decisions in a real emergency.
PD: There is an essential point in every emergency plan according to the hazard, and it is the means of transportation.
For example, in a hurricane, we have much time to prepare; typically, evacuations are carried out using vehicles.
However, we have little time in an earthquake or in a local tsunami, and the invitation is to evacuate on foot.
