"If buildings or infrastructure is one of the main reasons why we are not providing more children with high quality education, then it is time we start thinking differently about buildings and infrastructure." See below our latest update on Apex Stellenbosch. Any more buildings which could open more doors for more kids...?

Jana Du Plooy how you ensuring psychological safety and developing of self-awareness. Have you defined talent and how to give it a context. By getting this right, we establish a foundation for a comprehensive understanding of an individual's needs and how they can adapt to and manage complex changes without undue stress or reaching levels of incompetence that lead to disengagement and burnout. These issues are often overlooked, but they are relatively easy to resolve with proactive measures. Buildings and structures provide external protection and safety, creating a conducive environment. However, understanding the intrinsic experiences and safety requirements of individuals can be complexyet simple. Knowing an individual's initial conditions and sensitivity limits to complex changes helps us predict their behavior when faced with new challenges. This understanding allows individuals to objectively view their life, realize their potential, and understand their role in the broader contexts of school, business, society, and family. A deeper understanding of humans at the individual level enables us to better monitor their development and receive earlier warnings when dysfunction begins.

This is brilliant Jana Du Plooy and team Apex Education! The Western Cape Education Department are doing brilliant work with their #rapidschoolbuildprogramme but honestly it's an almost impossible task. It's so important that we think differently about how we utilise existing resources, and how we finance new builds. Increasing constraints have to push us to think more deeply and innovatively about how we provide high quality education for every child. Your team together with donors and the department have shown the rest of us exactly what innovative and impactful #publicprivatepartnerships can and should look like. Congratulations once again to all involved - not just for what you've done for these children, but for opening the rest of our eyes to the possibility and potential of public private partnerships.

The idea that you need a degree to get a job, is utter nonsense. There must be more trade schools for technical skills where proper trade tests are done. The apprentices can then earn a small salary while in training like way back in the 70’ and 80’s

Very accurate Jana…what I fear is the will to execute on this by the responsible parties…we are in dire need not only of more infrastructure, but better ones not caught up in yesteryear, but ones ready to assist in raising the adults of tomorrow…
